Default Thinking Outside the Box - Hardware Meets Software

I've been boxing for 60 levels now on Team Doublemint, and using KeyClone the whole way... happily marching on without thinking much about it at all...

My config is a G15 Keyboard, KeyClone, one or two clients on my main PC, and 2 clients on my laptop... One thing I've run into is a serious shortage of keys, and I'm too cheap and broke to afford $200 on an X-Keys Pro... I've been watching E-Bay and been sniped twice on them for just over $100....

Anyhow, I've had a Belkin N52 laying about but the thing I never liked about it is that you have to bind odd keys to avoid conflicts... ctrl-alt-shift blah... What I didn't think about is that almost ALL my mage keys for combat are the same on both mages... so what I need to do is plug my N52 into the laptop, I can then just bind the buttons to what they actually are in the game... setup round robin easily without needing keymaps/etc and the laptop doesn't have a do-not-pass list anyhow since I have a whitelist on my main machine.

This fully free's up keys on my G15 which I can then use keymaps to for the more important priest heals and such which I've had a great deal of problems mastering. I can also make macros for the paladin to support heals coming in from both toons at once!

I know this may be a BFO for some of you, but consider direct input to your slave machines for more flexibility...

Given that WoW now recognises left and right shift's, alt's and ctrl's, that has basically doubled the number of keys that can be mapped. The G15 has 18 macro keys as well...
For me personally it makes it hard to justfy buying an X-keys pro...being able to print your own key labels is it's only really appealing feature now.
Or am I missing something here?

    More logical layout over
    qwertyuiop
    asdfghjkl
    zxcvbnm

4 columns of 5 rows is great for 5 boxing.
