Uhm, horde have always lost AV in my Bg, it was my understanding FWK is MUCH easier to penatrate than DB, I mean, you have a 50yard long bridge that is a 1 way access point in plane view of your towers, we have a massive wall that can be hurtled at many points not to mention our own base blocks our tower archer's views making it amazingly easy to simply run past any would be defender and cap our RH. I guess it goes either way across different bg's but yes, cyclone BG .. horde loses almost everytime, I think I have like an 85% win rate but .. a 5 boxer on D goes a long ways. Infact I can't even do AV anymore because plenty of times in the day theres simply no horde willing to queue so its like 10v40 blow outs.
On stormstrike, the PuG horde will go back and recap towers and prevent people from "just running through" and reaching frostwolf. In your example "a multiboxer on D goes a long way" -- but if the horde is naturally defensive, then they're already covering that.

Basically, in stormstrike you have to leave folks guarding every tower you're capping and go bit by bit. The reason for the distaste for AV post-reinforcements was that horde could (at that time) take one of our towers and defend that point long enough to cap it, while preventing anyone from getting past the IBGY choke. This resulted in a guaranteed loss that resulted in 0 honor... so, naturally, alliance stopped queueing for an hour-long, 0-honor BG and started queueing for more productive BGs.

In general, thanks to a D-heavy strategy on both sides now, stormstrike AVs are long and extended reinforcement battles. So it's simply easier to farm honor in the faster BGs.
