Character Lag

Hello. I have been 2 boxing 2 characters on 2 different computers.
When i have one character standing still while playing WoW and I have the second character run to the first, I see the running character approach the standing character on one computer before he approaches the standing character on the second computer, like the 2 are lagging , is this normal?
The computers are not of the same age, one is 3 years old and the other is 3 months old. The older has an Intel p4 3 ghz processor and the newer has an intel core 2 duo 2,4 gig processor. The older computer has an Nvidia 7900 GTO card with 512 mb ram and the newer has a Nvidia 8800 GTS with 640 MB ram, is it the hardware difference or is this normal ? Both systems run on a cable modem ran to a router. Thank You for any help

That is normal behavior. It gets exaggerated with higher pings but usually is a non issue. You will get used to it. Check your ping, the lower it is, the less lag.

You learn a lot of interesting things multi-boxing that single-boxers may never know about.

I remember the first time I jumped with a night elf where on one screen he flipped and the other he didn't. So I immediately realized that the clients just receive the command to jump but each renders it randomly.

It amuses me to know that newbie kids showing off their jumping prowess think that the triple back flip they just pulled off was seen by all. LOL.

Yep

Silly alliance. Always flipping.

If you jump on all 5, you actually DO jump at the same time but clients render it at different times due to lag.

Also, emotes are usually random as well and dance times too - especially for clients that come from off screen. Plus you throw the lag in there too.

Thank You all for your answers to my question. I have noticed something while 2 boxing as well , when my warlock summons his felguard he hears one response from the felguard while the other character may hear another.
