unable to train new paladin abilities

Ok, so i started a new paladin and 3 druid team and have been instance boosting them with one of my level 80's. Since I am levelling extremely quickly, I didn't bother to train any new ablilities bar a couple you get in the first few levels.
I'm 40 now so thought I may as well go and train the abilities i missed while boosting. Got to the trainer, and I can't learn a thing. the only abilities that are available are level 20+ ones, which of course I cant take since I haven't got the the lower ranks yet. I did my level 10 class quest incase it was that, but no difference.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Or am i missing something glaringly obvious? I have a ticket open, but thought I'd ask on here...

What a noob! Feel a bit silly now! The reason why I couldn't train was because I didnt do the first quest called 'Paladin training' which you pretty much get as soon as you start in the staring area! That will teach me for running straight the rest of my group from the off!
