I don't have trouble at all in heroics or OTing 25-man stuff. I do run with the Bone Shield glyph.

I'm sorry, but are you speaking of having no trouble doing heroics acting as the "tank" in a regular 5-man group or boxing multiple toons? Because you have a lot more wiggle room for less mitigation with a dedicated separate healer . . .

My DK Tank geared in all epics (from heroics) except wrists, does around 1100-1200 dps on average. Boss fights usually around 950-1000, trash I can go as high as 1600, instance averages around 1150 usually.

Edit: And I just use a single macro for offense on my tank, plus manually casting DnD at the beginning of each fight. Macro is:

/castsequence reset=target Icy Touch,Plague Strike,Blood Boil,Blood Boil,Death Strike

Works good, lots of AoE damage/threat, and Death Strike actually helps quite a lot preventing me from having to heal my tank on 3 and 4 pulls.

More or less a regular group. I only dual box my DK and another melee dpser.

I am going back and forth between tanking with my druid or tanking with my blood DK and making the druid go meow.

So basically I have to see if the DPS gained from going from bear -> cat will be a greater gain than the DPS lost by gearing the DK to tank (my spec wont be much different). I also gain some utility on the druid (since hes not tanking he can shift out and brez, decurse, spot heal, etc, as needed).

Or I could make my warrior prot and make him tank. ACK! Too many choices. Need to wait til 3.1 changes are closer to being finalized.

Wow, looks like bears are taking a 10% stamina reduction in the bonus they get from HOTW (down to +10% from 20%) as of the latest patch notes.

I've never been one to be concerned about tank health. Mitigation >>>>>>>>>> Max health unless you have no dedicated healer.

This may mean bears are on the way to seeing a mitigation increase (Savage Defense better be amazing for us to lose as much armor and health as the current patch notes have us losing).

Though I will be sad to no longer be able to see my bear at 44k+ health, it was always one of those wow factors of being a bear tank.

I enjoy high stam due to % health effects like mark of blood and iLOTP. It doesnt really matter that much from a "real" standpoint but my team is very carefully put together a certain way to work without a healer (still remains to be seen whether it will or not) so any health reduction is troubling.

This is one of the things im sure that will be tweaked a few times as they try to get savage defense right.

Just thought id mention it here since I hadnt seen mention of it yet.
