Why is boosting xp so low?

Allo,

I just started boosting my other 4 shamans tonight. group makes consists of 76 DK , 11 Shaman x4

My experience is really low.. I'm only getting 37xp per kill. Thats not a lot, when they were 10, it took me the entire instance just to get maybe half a level to 3 quarters? Is this normal?

Did you use the RAF thing? Think you cant boost with the account that you refered with or something.. If i could only find the link..

I'm lost, I'm reading of other people running their characters through the instances and they're receiving triple experience. Perhaps I am ?? When I look at the experience my characters gain, it does say ( Recruit-a-Friend ) experience. I just think that 37xp is rather friggin low for triple experience.

I used my main account to refer 4 new accounts, therefore all of them are linked to main account.

This is frustrating and I'm almost debating just leveling a group instead of boosting, because at this point leveling as a group would be faster than this instance crap.

You are not the first one to complain about this. I've heard some stuff about Blizzard changing the XP share when a high level character is in the group, so that the lower level characters receive negligible XP. I'm not sure if its true but I heard a complaint this morning about a friend having the same issues as you (not receiving as much XP as he used to).

Looks like RAF boost leveling has come to an end....sadly

Elsegundo is right.

Account 1 or your "booster" account can't be linked to the other 4.



As you can see from the screenie, I'm in Stocks, the pink haired bringers of death and the pimp daddy dwarf priest are all level 16 on 4 RAF linked accounts (1 vet and 3 referrals). The 80 druid in the upper left corner is on account 1, unlinked. You can see both the RAF and group experience is unchanged from before. Hope this helps.

you cant redo your referals. the only thing you can do now is level a team of 5, yes, FIVE, from scratch. just level a char on account 1 to 10, then add him to the team and now you can learn to 5box from level 10 on up. =]

How did you link your accounts?

Account 1 = Boosting character
Account 2 = leveling
Account 3 = leveling
Account 4 = leveling
Account 5 = leveling

If you did
Account 2 --> Account 3 --> Account 4 --> Account 5
Account 1 = Not linked at all
It should work.

If you did:
Account 1 --> Account 2 --> Account 3 --> Account 4 --> Account 5
It used to work, not sure if it works now though.

If you did:
Account 1 ---> Account 2 , Account 1 --> Account 3 , Account 1 --> Account 4 , Account 1 --> Account 5
It won't work at all.
