Sooo i tried a holy paladin as a healer..
Done quite some matches with my priest and we both agreed that its realy hard with a priest since they ususaly either focus him and kill him, or just cc'ing him making him total unable to heal. Even if i spam heal him he dies vs 3 meele dps and thats happens even without a mortal strike around. I certainly got even less time to dps and getting off a flameshock+lava burst combo is impossible without him dying in certain matches. Hes a great priest who have boxed himself and understands how i work etc etc but meele teams simply makes it impossible.
So i decided to try a holy paladin, but i had my doubts if he could handle the AOE certain teams can dish out. Doing "/2 Lf skilled and geared holy paladin" certainly didnt make my hopes higher...
First match we faced a realy good team wich were rated around 1900, and i already felt the difference! I got their warrior to 2k hp, now if i only PURGED!!The match was heavy in our favour but it wasnt easy to recover since they kept dropping fear bombs on me and aoe silence.
2nd match we faced paladin,priest,mage,death knight and warrior.
Certainly not a bad team and our first match we lost.
Queued again and faced them 3 times in a row, now we actually farmed them. They kept trying to get my grounding totems down and death grip me wich they managed once but a fast trinket+ hand of freedom made us change the battle in our favour fast. Priest/paladin/mage losed me like bitches and dispelled bloodlust every match.
After 4 matches we faced the first team again, minor mistakes made us lose. First time i didnt drop my groundings when i should have so my paladin got sheeped and the other my paladin was to slow on hand of protection.
Then our 4 last matches we came in and faced 3 gladiators! Feral druid, fury warrior,elemental shaman,priest and holy paladin.
They hit like a train and kept swapping targets each 5th second, while the priest/shaman/paladin pretty much went full out on ccing my paladin. 2 of the matches were in the Blades edge arena, and in one of the matches 2 slaves were thunderstormed off the bridge causing a instant loss.
However i managed to kill the shaman twice, both times after i got him down my heals was 0.2 seconds away from my main. Both a certain win if i had abit better gear,luck,whatever! Getting the druid stuck in cat form while doing fire nova totem,flame shock, lava burst, just to once again beeing a second away on my heals made me cheer.
3-7 and 7 down in ratings but MAN what a difference, now it feels like its just abit of tuning to actually get thoose kills and we can beat some of the best teams around.
