I have epic flyers on both my teams and I positively use hearthstones all the time. I however do a lot of tradeskills and AH shopping, so I wish there were an AH in dalaran. Apparently trying to ghetto hearth now sends you to the nearest GY. LAME.

I'm reading that ghetto hearth has been removed in the new patch. I really hope that this is a mistake, but I'm not holding my breath. It's too bad really, if you dont run shaman or have a mage it's a pain in the ass getting around.. even with epic flyers.

With dual specs and an auction house alt you should almost never need to go to old world. The only time I use my hearthstone is after an instance if no mage is present. I am not a respec fiend though so I rarely need to do that, but with dual specs that reason to travel back in time so to speak will be gone too.

They could at least put portals in major cities to places like Dalaran or Shattrath. I mean, it's not like they would ruin the game play or anything. just set level requirements on them, 65 for Shatt and 75 for Dalaran. And another thing, whats with the boat from Menethil to Valgarde taking the scenic route? That stupid boat takes forever. When you are sitting in Valgarde waiting to get back to Ironforge or Stormwind and you get to see it head around that bend before it gets to you in another 5 minutes, I just don't see what they were thinking.

Okay, on to positive notes. They are adding another legendary. Usable by Paladins, Priests, Druids, and Shaman. Yes, Shaman. I'll ignore the fact that they screwed mages and warlocks when they took Aitesh out and they gave Pallies yet another legendary, but I'm excited that there is a slim possibility of a legendary boxing team now. So who will be the first to sport [url='http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2009/february/fragmentsvalanyr.jpg'][Val'anyr, Gavel of Ancient Kings][/url]on their whole team?

I've made somewhere around 15k off of the auction house since wrath release and another 10k or so in trade chat sales. I push a dozen or so items through the AH everyday. Inscription is a little more portable for trade chat sales, so I hang out in Dalaran on my main, I'll barter the deal in whisper then deliver the glyph or whatever on my alt in Org if necessary. I agree that if you're leveling a profession off of the AH you're not going to want to do that through an alt, but that shouldn't be an everyday ordeal either. If I am just scanning for simple mats I have a notepad on my desk that I scratch them into. There are ways around needing ports and ghetto hearth they just require a little give and take on old habits.

in the end they changed it because they need you to waste time, because you wasting time = less getting done = more things to do = longer subscription to game. I dunno, I wish I would have leveled a mage to alleviate this situation and it would be a nonissue.

Interesting Ghetto Hearth Story: If you fly in to a 5-man instance with 10 people in a raid, half of them get booted to their hearth.

In other news, switching to your dual-spec just requires you to be out of combat and not in an arena/BG.
