Flametongue and Totem of Wrath Q:

Does the Totem of Wrath count as a flametongue Totem for the purposes of Flametongue Weapon and Glyph?

not 100% sure about the glyph thing but i do know that the spell benifits from totem of wrath and flametoung do not stack. totem of wrath is 104 SP where as flametoung is 140 SP, at least i think i might have those numbers reversed. >.> but ether way i know they dont stack you can only get the max spel power from one of them. which ever one has more SP is that total amount that you get. but the critical benifits from the wrath totem are still applied. if your using mutiple shamans i suggest at least one of each, b.c i belive the flametoung has more spell power. and to be safe if ur 4-5 boxing have 2 of each. just incase one where to get destroyed for any reason.

Also on top of that, if you spec into the Flametoung totem i think in the Enhancement tree?? with one or more of your shamans then there is more reason to have both down crit from one sp form the other.=] hope that helps, also for the glyph thing. I never used that one in specific befor, so i cant help you out with that one :thumbsup:

well then in lue to Fursphere's post, You will only receive the benificial spell power from ether Totem of Wrath - Flametounge Totem<I belive it is this one with 140 SP> the Spell critical bonus on Mobs from Totem of Wrath, and then you have your own personal Flametounge Wepon Buff you have applied yourself. Then you will have any other binificial Spell Power or Crit raiting or what ever it might be from the Glyph of Flametounge Wep

Woo! I just re-read your initial Question from a different view. Are you asking if the Totem of Wrath will apply the Flametoung wep affect to your wep just like the Flametoung Totem does? and then on top of that if that buff received from the Totem of Wrath with bennifit from the Glyph.

The Answer is no, Totem of Wrath gives a seperate buff to your spell power that is in no way shape or form connected to your wep. The additional 101-104 Spell power that it gives whatever the amount might be has no abilities/skills/items/glyphs that will increase its ability. At least none that i am aware of.

Should you wish to use the Glyph for Flametoung wep. You must first apply the Flametoung wep spell to your wep. That is the onlyt way the glyph will have any effect. The glyph will not give bennifits to the buff applied by the Flametoung Totem.

Flametongue Totem = Group/Raid SP Buff. STACKS WITH Flametongue Weapon!

Totem of Wrath = Group/Raid SP Buff. Stacks with Flametonue Weapon, DOES NOT STACK with Flametongue Totem. ToW > FT Totem.

Glyph of Flametongue Weapon = Gives you more Crit % when Flametonue Weapon is applied to yourself.

Totem of Wrath = Group/Raid SP Buff. Stacks with Flametonue Weapon, DOES NOT STACK with Flametongue Totem. ToW > FT Totem.

Totem of Wrath has 2 effects - one is an aura applied to players for ~100 spellpower. The other is an aura applied to nearby monsters - for 3% crit on them.

Flametongue weapon has 1 effect, it's an aura applied to players for ~140 spellpower.

If two shamans in a group each drop Totem of Wrath and Flametongue, the players will benefit from the crit of TOW and the SP of Flametongue. Both stack nicely.

Read the whole thread next time. We had already stated the spell critical bonus from ToW, but it was not bought up again in posts following it due to that it was not relivant to the actuall question being asked. :thumbup:
