5 Man Heroic team - I'm bringing the DPS

Hello everyone!

Myself and two friends are planning to do a mass reroll soon. Last time we did this I multi-boxed two mages to level 24, but my friends had to leave the game due to RL issues. They're back again and we're planning to start over using Recruit a friend. I'm having trouble picking out some DPS classes. I plan on running one account on my old machine, and then two accounts on my new rig using two monitors total.

J - Prot pally (definite)

D - Resto Shaman (Possibly a Holy Priest instead)

Myself - ????


Melee classes are out of the question, I don't like them, and I especially don't want to do them while handling three toons. At first I was just going to roll three mages for simplicity, but in the long run I think that would be a waste. Portals, vending machine, and Intel buff can be handled by just one. They'll all be starved for gear until we repeat some instances too.

Three boomkins sounded fun, but again three of the same class doesn't give as much utility (besides triple battle rez).

J suggested a Spriest (fort + replenishment), Boomkin (aura, MOTW), Mage (portals, free food, AI) combo.

Yeah I just read up on a lot of new stuff since my last visit, making my previous post worthless. Ya'll are geniuses.

Any suggestions to a different setup for my 3 DPS? I'm still curious on how you all would play in this role. If the mage had replenishment I could possibly swap out the shadow priest for an elemental shammy.

Three different classes is more challenging to play, but I like the Shadow Priest + Druid + Mage idea. The good thing is that you won't be competing for gear with your friends, only your own Mage and Priest will, and you get the whole range of buffs.

On the other hand, more mages means more sheeps. I like to be able to CC three mobs at once with my holy trinity group (Pala, Priest, Magex3).

Having two Polymorphs was fun, but the pally is totally addicted to AoE. He'd mark stuff for me to CC then change his mind 2 seconds into the pull lol. After reading that locks are getting replenishment, I may consider replacing the priest.
