    Default Keyclones maximizer feature

First of i think it's good to state that Keyclone doesn't use maximizer per see,
it just offer similar capabilities. That seems to throw some people off.

Second i haven't been able to create this layout, is it currently possible?

    /-------------------\
    |..2.|...........|..3..|
    |.....|...........|......|
    |----|.....1....|-----|
    |..4.|...........|..5..|
    |.....|...........|......|
    \------------------/

The forum truncated all my spaces,
i added periods and numbers in there to try and make it clearer.

    Ahhhhh /me chuckles
I'm fairly sure it is possible although I don't know how and it would just be speculation.

I'll leave this one to someone more qualified ;-)

yes, you can specify any layout you want using the new region editor. it doesn't work 100% the way i'd like, but you can layout any region pattern you want.

    on the maximizer panel
    hit reset to clear
hit the '+' to get a new region
    left-click drag the region around
uncheck the snap to grid for easier movement
or you can type the position/dimension at the top to position the region directly.
left-click drag the corners to resize.

    repeat for all your regions.
    right-click to remove a region

left clicking on a region selects it

you can name each region, which comes in handy with commands

the new command editor will enable you to specify a particular region for each command. no more guessing.

Most monitors are wider then they are tall. So you COULD do this but the scaling would be..... odd with a single screen.

It works great if you use five individual 17" monitors but say you use a single 30" to do what you propose.

    2560 x 1600

would be wider than your example, more like this:

    /-----------------------\
    |..2.|................|..3..|
    |.....|................|......|
    |----|........1......|-----|
    |..4.|................|..5..|
    |.....|................|......|
    \-----------------------/

Each end one would be 640 x 800 and the middle would be 1280 x 1600. Go much smaller than a 30" and forget it. WoW at 512x640 would be near unplayable.

So with the 30" - playable? Yes. But your aspect ratio would be quite a bit strange looking. Tall but not wide. Try it out and see if it is workable for you or not. My personal suggestion is to get a 2nd monitor or of course a dedicated monitor per box

actually, keyclone will adjust the aspect ratio for you... so no matter what region dimensions you choose, within reason... it seems to always come out fine (no fun-house mirrors)

Really? That is pretty nifty. WoW Maximizer seems to do that but you still lose SOME "data" by cutting off the edges like that.

I have a 17" inch widescreen with 1920x1200, so it works out to:
    1x: 960x600
    4x: 480x300

Right now i use this setup:

    /---------------\
    |........1.........|
    |---------------|
    |.2.|.3.|.4.|.5.|
    \---------------/

So i basically just want to make section 1 into a square.
I'm not saying that section 2,3,4 and 5 are great, but it let's me see
when they start running off in random directions on their own :-)

A bit of a problem is that wow seems to render the game 800x600,
it's just not showing all of it in my tiny sections. But i really don't need to
mess around with the clones as i play. Just make sure they are still
    following.

    Hmm...

Buying another monitor might be an idea ;-)
