    Default 10 Boxing starting... Now!

Ok, so I'm the proud owner (it was about time ) of a 10 boxing level 80 team consisting of:

    Tanks:
    Unholy DK
    Protection Paladin

    Healers:
    Holy Priest
    restoration Shaman

    DPS:
    Fire Mage
    4*Elemental Shaman
    1 Moonkin

And I want to attack 10m content. So far I only ran heroics. With any of the mix mentioned above, Tank+3 DPS+1 Healer I find heal to be more than enough and I do something between 8.5k-9k dps. I now that 10m won't be exactly twice this dps but just to give an idea.

I never raided wotlk content, my experience on 10 boxing is Kara and ZA. I have many questions for those of you that already raided both with one or several toons:

    Is this a decent composition?
    Could dps be a problem?
    Where to start?
Where to go next and next?
Any hints on how to 10box the bosses?
Any trash giving possible trouble to a 10 boxer?

I don't know if Naxx is linear or you can attack bosses in any order too...
Anther thing is that my +hit is very low, have the IFF though.

    Thank you all in advance!

fantastic group comp, pretty much perfect imo. I'd start with VOA10 first (inside Wintergrasp), the trash is ridiculously easy (I have 5 manned it) and the boss is pretty forgiving and easy as well. You just need your OT to taunt every time your MT gets grabbed, and your group to move out of grey clouds on the ground. spread the team out, since the spikes do collateral damage (dont move out of them, just heal that person).

Obisidum Sanctum 0 drake isn't too bad either, the trash/3 drakes are easy mode and the boss itself just requires tanks to pick up adds and your group to move correctly in lava wall holes.

i'd start naxx off with spider wing, if maexxna is too hard (some minor movement issues with web grabs) move to plague wing after Faerlina, plague wing is fairly easy and on Heigan just /follow one person. Patchwerk is also extremely easy. Grobbulus, Gluth, and Thaddius are going to be a bit tough (maybe on Thaddius just spread everyone out and 0 charge it), Raz is easy if you can independently work your two tanks. For Gothik you can use the single corner strat (put everyone on the live side corner near Heigan, as far away from gate as you can go). 4h not sure, might be tricky.

The most important person in your raid is gonna be your MT, the better geared he is the easier time you will have. He should have epics in every slot from heroics/BOEs/badge gear, and the trinket from 2nd boss of AzNerub is nice (111 stam). You may wanna run naxx10 once in a pug or whatever with your healer or a DPSer, just so you get an idea of what all the fights are like.

And lastly malygos10 is imo in your reach as well, its actually not a hard fight to multibox esp with all caster DPS, you just have to be super on the ball about moving your tank north every time (leave everyone else in middle) and killing sparks before they reach him. P3 is easy for a multiboxer if you can get to it, P2 will be a bit tricky with all the movement and flying mobs.

    Awesome contribution Thank you

I have both my tanks capped in def (DK currently isn't but being BS and JC it's just switch bop gems) and very good avoidance stats too (cap not needed for 10m if I'm not mistaken).
DK's almost 30k hp and Pala 27k (both unbuffed). I think raid buffs will do a lot for my dps/heal/tanking too, since I have a real lot of them .

You think two healers will do?

Regarding pugging some... you're right, that's the best thing to do. But pugging and me... too traumatized

Can't wait for more input! Thank you.

I'd say if you are starting nax I'd go with 3 healers. I'd changed either your druid or shaman to resto until you get geared up enough for Naxx. There is a pretty good amount of raid healing and with Circle of healing + Wild growth you should have plenty of non targeted raid healing. I have done all the Wrath content with my resto druid(solo) and I'm usually close to tops on the healing meters in Naxx with Wild growth accounting for 40+% of my healing.

I agree that starting in the spider wing is probably the best place to go.

Very valuable information in this thread.
I am going to start the 10 man content myself in the next few days (groups currently at 80 and 79). As soon as the 79 group hits 80 they are properly geared with a few craftables, the marcos and specs are checked and I'll head into naxx (and voa as suggested in this thread) to see how it goes. Can't wait but I have so much work atm so it is going to be a few days

Good to know more people are 10 boxing. Maybe we should start a thread to share our experiences (I'll do as soon as I have some ^^).
I think I'll start one just to know who's 10 boxing PVE.

A few things of note. When I posted that I was mostly in greens and blues. All the dps in our raid was 1500-2000ish per dps'er. It was all the way in the beginning. And some patches ago.

A few things changed since then. Grobulus is much easier now, elemental shamans do a lot more dps. A few other things here and there. Overall, the increase in dps or having decent gear can make some fights much easier. My post back then, was for the starter group, it focuses more on control and less on nuke encounters. (ie. Faerlina is easy with a good geared group, as enrage won't be a concern. Same for Anub, with a good geared tank you can just swallow the locusts and forget about kiting alltogether. And so on and so forth. But that's for groups already decked out in ilvl 200+ gear.

Oh and one other thing, on thaddius you can just spread out and nuke down doing 0 charge on 10 man. Which makes it very easy too. At the time of me posting those tactics I wasn't aware of this tactic as viable, but it is.

Re-awesome Kaynin ^^ Thanks again. I'm the same poster from before (Mortah).
Changed username because that toon no longer exists and this is my main now.

So, taking into account the dps I mentioned in the op (around 9k in heroics with any possible combo from my toons, so that'd mean more than the double under the same condition - hc - counting on all buffs and 10 ppl) there are actually bosses without movement or micro management issues in your opinion. Pure tank and spank? You mentioned Faerlina and Anub. Is it accurate to say that for these two? Any others?

And, is it a decent amount of dps? I know it'll be lower in 10m content mainly due to hit issues but maybe balanced with the fact of having all buff raids available.
All DPSers have the class talented 3% hit with the moonkin IIF. So I have a 6% base to work with, baing needed if I'm not mistaken 289 Hr to be capped.

    Thank you.
