    Default Monitor question

I have a 19" monitor currently and am going to try 4 or 5 boxing, but can I do it with one monitor without lagging. I understand I will lag in cities, just trying to stay away from buying another monitor if I do not need to. I found this http://www.solidice.com/keyclone/layouts/index.html but what would be the best settings to use. ?( If you need to know here is the computer specs.

    Amd Phenom 9600 2.3GHz Quad-Core
    6 gigs of DDR2 800 ram
    Nvidia 8600 GT video card

    Thanks for the help...................

Well, your specs look ok to me for 5 boxing, the layouts on the Keyclone page are great, i use them and have no problems at all. I started out 5 boxing on my 24" LCD with 4 PiP, but it was a bit cramped for me, so I hooked my 19" CRT up too and things are great now. I would think it might be a little cramped, but considering that for the most part, it's just to check they are with you, or a quick right click on quest givers, you might be ok.

Monitor has nothing to do with lag (unless you set your fps max to your frame rate I guess ...)

I play 5 on a system worse then yours (kinda worse). I doubt you have problems, cept in Org and such of course.

Yes one larger way better then dual, assuming just one computer, if you have more then one computer then one monitor per computer is ok.

Not wanting to get away from the OP, but why is one monitor better than two on a since PC setup? I'm finding it a lot easier with two, but new to this and always open to wisdom/advice

Well doh umm I whould think that spanning causes problems with mouse placement, and puts a lot of strain on your video card. How you have it set up, main on one and 4 squares on the other? Does the mouse move seamlessly between the two monitors? I would see the main problem as that you must be playing in over 1900 X 1200 total on two monitors and the video card is really going to be working hard. Also whats the downside to using one? A single larger monitor seems better then two smaller anyways.

Well I don't know I guess I just use one monitor per computer and play always in full screen, I never liked the tile thing anyways. I just flip between my guys instead. If you don't have any problems then I guess I was wrong and 2 is fine, well basically I don't know.

Alwasy happy to share my wisdom lol ...
