Default Could use some suggestions / advice, please

    Hi guys,

Recently returned to multiboxing after a long break playing 1 account. Basically I wanted to ask for some opinions, as I'm not the most experienced.

Right now I have 5 shaman at 61 (my original, and only, team), along with a couple other 80's (DK and Pally) and a selection of others at 70. I am looking to form a 5 man team of 1 DK and 4 shaman to eventually run heroics in Northrend, but I have to get my shaman leveled as a first priority. Would it be faster to level the 5 shaman as a team to 70, then split into the 80 DK / 4 70 Shaman, or just start boosting the shaman already with the DK in instances? I know that I could slaughter instances with DK alone (I've already done it, just for the achievement), but I also think it might be more efficient for the long haul to quest the shaman together until later. At this point, I'd like to see if anyone who has maybe been in a similar situation could share their opinion / experience.

Also, and I may well get flamed for this, but does anyone have a recommended spec for leveling an elemental team? I ask because from my searches both here and on google, most of the specs I find are end game info that doesn't necessarily pertain to an efficient leveling spec. I'm sure it's been discussed, but I couldn't find the specific info I was looking for. When I stopped boxing, Totem of Wrath still stacked, so a lot has changed since then.

Anyway, thanks for any advice anyone might have.

Posted this in the wrong section by accident. My apologies. If a mod would please move this, I'd appreciate it--or delete it, as appropriate.

I think if you're used to tanking on the DK, go ahead and boost through some instances and quests and thangs. I had this backwards because when I stepped up to 5boxing (from 2 or 3) I had a shaman who was 65ish. So I specced her enhancement to boost through instances until they got closer. With RAF it was worth it, without RAF it really comes down to how much tolerance you have for grinding in instances.

For spec, you probably want Totem of Wrath on your shamans anyway. There's times when through your guild or friends or just through general channel you'll send one off to join a group. But you're right in that it doesn't stack anymore, so the others will from now on be dropping searing totems or magma totems or even frost resist totems.

Now I ain't saying this is the best spec, but here's what I'd do with a bunch of 61s:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hEhcqRdhtGxou

Then put the last two points in Shamanism, that'll be up to level 63.
Then put 5 points in Ancestral Knowledge(enhancement tree), that'll take you up to 68.
Then put 5 points in Thundering Strikes(Enhancement tree), that'll take you up to 73.
THEN go back and put in 3 in Lava Flows. That'll take you up to 76 (and you finally get lava burst at 75 yay yayyyy)
After that I'd put 3 points in Elemental Weapons (enhancement tree) for teh flametongue joys, and 1 in Shamanistic Focus (enhancement tree)

Rationale: Yeah, like I even know the meaning of the word. I can tell you the reason for the improved fire nova thing is if you all drop them against 20 enemies, you're guaranteed with that 50% chance to stun to stun every single one of those enemies. It's better than a warstomp. Didn't bother with Elemental Precision becaus you can always use wind shock to dump threat, and by the time you need +hit gear you'll have access to enough of it.
Multiboxers are unique, our abilities are unique, so our builds don't match what's already out there commonly used. Mine's built for the way I play the shamans which is lots of chain lightning and magma totems and stuff.

Speaking of which, get Glyph of Chain Lightning if you can (although I hear patch 3.0.9 is gonna add a target anyway) and Glyph of Flame Shock before level 75. The rest are up to you.

Exactly the kind of info I was looking for, thank you

Just got done making the separate directories and setting up symlinks, etc. Working on re-writing a few hours worth of macros now, haha. At least I have some rested xp to go on.

Oh, and from reviewing my quest log, I think I remember why I quit last time--collecting 30 pcs each of the zeppelin debris, ROFL. I'm still going to complete that one, even if it burns me out again :P
