Sorry for the Necro, but why start a new thread. Yes i have now managed to wackamole this guy... i kept my guys a a distance and taunted once he started moving worked a treat

Has anyone done him with melee? My poor rogues are getting slaughtered by the WW and I can seem to run away from it fast enough. Any tips?

I just have them run to the healer, assuming one of your team is an actual ranged healer.

I sit the healer behind the column on the righthand side as you're facing the harpoon launchers and tank on the lefthand side by the door. Flip him around so my tanks back is to the door and the melee DPS is behind him, then as soon as he starts to whirlwind, hit my /follow healer button so they run away {throwing heals to them on my healer as they go if needed}.

Woohoo! First heroic Skadi kill for me tonight and completed 2 more heroics, UK Pinnacle and DTK.

I never liked the reset strategy so I've always been running in at the start and to the right and AoE the first group. Then I kill the 2 spawns and time a run to the next pillar where I will AoE group 2 keeping the team against the right wall. This is my final position for the group.

Now my tank goes roaming and picks up spears and keep picking up the 2 spawns and pulls any other adds still up. I ignore the breath on the tank, damage is not noticeable. Pump 3 spears into the drake, take out spawns and get ready for the boss. Pop 2 more spears into the drake on the next pass and pick up the boss.

Then it is just taunting the boss on his whirlwind and if the adds are still up I just make sure they stay on the tank. Healer keeps group up.

It is really deceptive how gear makes a difference. Mobs die just that little bit quicker. You have that bit more hp and bit more mana and the tank takes a bit less damage and suddenly you have breathing room and the fight becomes much easier.
