    I can finally do this encounter pretty easy with my group. I use the tactic of farming some harpoons, reset, & run down to the end. I park my guys in the middle of the room towards the back gate that opens up to the other mobs. I have 3 mages so I send one down and consecrate just before he reaches skadi. I roll hots on my pally and once they spawn I holy wrath to damage/stun them. As I am running my mage back I am casting arcane explosion to kill them all. The hard part is picking him up once he lands and killing any stragglers. There are many LOS bugs on this encounter. Mobs can shoot your group through several walls. I usually only have problems if skadi aoe's my group or some mobs attack my guys from outside the walls.

    I just tried running this for the first time on Heroic. I'd only been once on normal at 80 and gave up after trying skadi once.

    First and second bosses were super easy, hardly had to try. I actually pulled 2 entire groups of trash at once on accident (2 wolves and a hunter and then another 2 hunters and a wolf on patrol) and took them all down without any CC or anything (no resto shaman either, just 4 elementals).

    But aside from that, the Skadi encounter. I wasn't really sure what method to try so I decided to get harpoons first. I grabbed 6 and then reset the encounter. I ran down to the end of the hallway, put my guys just inside the doorway leading to where the mobs come from. Dropped a totem farm (including 4x healing stream - these things are getting to be ridiculously OP now), and sent 1 of my shaman down to skadi to start the encounter. Soon as it started I whipped him around and hit my auto run key, then jumped back on my tank, dropped a DnD, dropped 3x magma totems, and after about 10 seconds used 3x thunderstorm. That pretty much killed every add right there. I went back, grabbed my shaman from outside that was on auto run, and it said that Skadi was in range of the harpoon guns.

    So, I fired off all 6 harpoons using all 3 guns, as fast as I could. Except...he just flew by after that, shot his ice breath, and kept flying. I was like "wtf?" So, I got another harpoon from a harpoonist, shot that, he still didn't come down. Got another one, shot that, and I looked and the harpoon didn't look like it was going anywhere near skadi, it just kind of shot off into the distance to the side of him. Anyway, got a third extra harpoon, shot again, and he came down. Except at this point I wasn't expecting him to come down because I thought he was bugged, so I didn't even realize he was hitting me for about 3 seconds, and when I finally realized I'm sure you can guess what happened. He was sitting on top of all 5 of my guys and he started to whirlwind. My shamans life was plummeting so I ran away from skadi and hit my death grip button to taunt him...except my death grip was on cooldown from the mage I just killed... Ok so all 4 shamans died, that was a waste.

    The encounter took so damn long because I needed so many harpoons that I didn't want to even try it again so I hearthed.

    Anyone know why it took 9 harpoons to bring him down? Do only certain harpoon guns work? Do you have to aim somehow? I'm very confused.

    Edit: Thought I should add that up to skadi coming down everything was super easy. My 4 shamans had full mana by the time I brought Skadi down and I was killing the 2 adds every time they showed up so fast I had plenty of breathing time between add groups. Keeping groundings down for the mage guys helps a lot.

    You actually have a very limited time to hit him with harpoons after the "in range" announcement.

    I find that I usually only have time to shoot off 2 harpoons (including movement) before they stop registering.

    I'd say that based on you having fired 6 harpoons in one flyby, most of them probably fell outside of the effective window.

    Thats a bummer - I thought there was an achievement to take him down in a single fly-by? How is that possible then? I know multiboxers have done it before

    I think you can do it if you have two characters ready to click at the harpoons.
    I usually get him down on the second pass with just my pally taunting and firing.
    Then again, I've never tried the achievement.

    I think its best to shoot him 3 times on 1 pass then 2 times on the next so he comes down when you want him to. Nova totems + magma +thunderstorm should kill those adds very easy.

    The last boss is a joke if you are geared enouhg to burn him. Your team should own the last boss very fast.

    I've got all the UP achieves, for Skadi you want to be by the guns before the announcement, then you have to bounce between 2 guns (only have to move slightly) shooting them alternately, but rapidly. He'll come down after exactly 5 shots if you start shooting right after the emote, and you'll get both achievements easy if you do the reset-room trick.

    You actually have enough time to let him fly by twice, so you don't have to bring him down the first pass if you still have adds up - just clean up, put your tank outside (I sometimes drop a earth ele to tank new adds when my tank is outside), and bring him down on 2nd pass.

    For last boss, just be sure to have purge on a good key, purge whenever bane is up (and spin your tank around so you don't accidently hit him when bane is up, or turn off attacking or w/e -- I also don't flameshock when he is casting bane). Save lust for the top left box, it spawns little circles that aoe and move and they suck the most, if you lust when he pops it you can burn him down 25% before even a circle spawns.

    Its an instance not worth farming imo, I got it down to pretty much a 1 shot and farmed it for a week straight, got 0 mounts and said f** this place and haven't gone back since.

    Just ran this again today. Skadi down without hardly trying. Did it the same way I did it yesterday except this time I pulled him really far from my shamans as soon as he landed. Was cake.

    Last boss was super duper cake. I actually got the "King's Bane" achievement without trying. Equipped insignia of the horde x 5. Pulled the boss, used all my trinkets and power ups and blood lust, the second he stunned my guys I used my insignia and kept dpsing him. I was nailing him so hard that he actually went to the next 2 boats in a row without stopping (cause I took him down another 40% while he was using the first boat). He never stopped moving between boats I was hitting him so hard, so I didn't actually have to tank him at all really, just kept spamming DPS on him. He died and I don't think I had to heal anyone at all.

    Got the sword of courage on my first run but my DK doesn't really need it. I looted it anyway in case I ever decide to DW tank

    well i just cant kill this guy. always wips out my healer and team with that damn whirlwind. and this is on normal lol.
