Will adding more hard drives and moving wow folders to said drives speed up performance?

This is my thread in the hardware forums looking for help in optimizing performance. Maybe others can benefit from what might come out of that thread. It's kind of like this, I have decent gear...in fact, some are epic, but I need to replace some of my greens.
