Default System only sees 2GB ram.... (and yes, /pae is enabled)

    Windows Server 2003 web edition
    AMD Athlon 64 3800+

Physical Address Extension is enabled (and shows up in the system properties window)

All 3GB shows up in the bios.

In windows exactly 2GB shows up...

    Any suggestions?

Seriously. Even 64 bit Ubuntu live cd. If it works then its a software problem.

I'm fairly certain this i correct. I think the web edition of windows 2003 server has a restriction of 2gb.

If you use 2003 standard server you can use 4gb and 2003 standard 64 bit edition can use 32gb ram.

Windows Server 2003 Web Edition supports a maximum of 2 processors with support for a maximum of 2GB of RAM.
Your Right.. Thats it (the above quote is from a wiki on the diffrences between the diffrent versions.)

This sucks.... I have xp64 sitting on my desk, but it's not installed on that computer because I need server 2003 for some development/testing I do on it that needs server 2003.

I really didnt want to do a dual-boot system either, but I guess I have no choice.

Anyone know if you need to Install wow, or if you can just run it from the folder without any problems?

Why don't you just install XP 64 then run a 32 bit VM of Server 2003?

Because it's already installed and setup correctly for working.... And I don't get paid for the time (in fact I don't get paid for any work on that computer, it's more of a research machine)

Anytime I need to install windows again, I always complain. I hate the time it takes.

    ...Jokes right?

Take an image of the existing setup, then load that into the VM. Piss easy.
