    Default Questions and fraustration

Sorry for this, but I've been looking around DB.com and so far, most of the links are either broken or gone.

I'm looking for a multiplexer that communicates to 2 wow accounts from 1 comp. I've looked through Vyndree's Guide to Guides but the link I was so happy to see was broken. And most of the other links that apply to my troubles are aswell. ;(

I can't use Keyclone because I don't have access to a Credit Card. Octopus' link is broken. And the others don't seem like the type of multiplexer I'd be able to use (synergy being multi-comp and HotKeyNet is to complex)

I apologise if this thread has already been answered elsewhere. I looked around

let me get this straight, you don't have a credit card (not may under 18's do) :S

octopus has not been developed for while now and it looks like the download page has been removed.

    so your options are limited:

you will have to put in some time and effort to learn Hotkeynet (unless you can arrange some other form of payment with Rob (keyclone)

multiboxing solutions will not be handed to you on a silver platter, you will have to put in some time and work things out for yourself.. to be honest that's half the fun of it, finding out how things work, and why they work in a certain way.

why don't you download hotkeynet and some of the sample scripts that are available. you will find that on these forums there are a lot of people thathave gone through the learning process on this application and would probably be able to point you in the right direction and help big time with the scripting required.

    /rant mode off

(sorry, currently on day 11 of 14 on a MCSE 2003 boot camp and the 14 hour days are getting to me) :cursing:

only 70-294 (Saturday) and 70-298 (Sunday) to go

Don't get me wrong, I've heard too many great things about Keyclone and it's worth the $20 and I'm sure Rob is a great guy, but I've never really had a need for a credit card until now..so I have to save up $1500 in my savings account in order to get a $1000 CC...it may be awhile until that happens considering I work for the family business and pay isn't regular....

When I do get a credit card, I will be getting keyclone. BTW, right now I'm just testing to see how a number of things react, like if my comp can handle the 2 open wows (had a lot of trouble with it in the last year.) If it can't handle it, then I'll take the bigger, better comp and use it. I know it can handle atleast 3 open wows.

the wiki's are being moved.... i think that's your problem with the broken links. though i have no idea of the status of this, i do know you can visit this link... Attention WIki Editors / Contributors

also, you do not need a credit card to get keyclone, just a paypal account which can be linked to your checking account.

The real part I was trying to get across, which I'm guessing you didn't read is that keyclone takes Paypal.

Do banks in Canada not issue check cards w/ a visa or mastercard logo on them for bank accounts like they do in the states?

    Indeed. Debit cards are win.

Just get Hotkeynet. It's a wonderful program. If you can figure out how WoW macros work, then I"m confident you can figure out how to write scripts in Hotkeynet. It's free and extremely powerful. While I"m sure Keyclone is an awesome program, it's not the only solution out there... especially if you're looking for a solution that doesn't cost money.

Or you can go to Walmart or somewhere and get a pre-paid Visa/Mastercard.
