Default How many people have 2 tanks for 5 shamans?

What exactly do I mean by this you say?

Well, for those of us who have 5 shamans and would like to gear them up equally for BG mayhem you can't exactly rotate in the shaman who has the tank on his/her account. I was just curious if anyone has 2 tanks for this purpose. I'm not looking forward to leveling up 2 more chars but it would seem like I have no choice. I'm going with the 2 DK method as it took me all of about 15 mins to get them to 56.

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas.

im alittle confused to the point of this, you mean to say that you have 5 accounts each with a shaman on it, and 2 of your accounts have dks on, so to make sure that all 5 shaman get geared up your going to split the groups into 2 and have 2 different instanceing groups? also your makeing it sound like what the hell it took me 15 minutes to get a level so might as well. and that 15 mins is raf link just wait till that ends at 60, then your feeling of not wanting to level 2 more characters will really kick in.

im baffled by how you see this as a smart idea. you cant level up 7 characters and keep the amount of emblems on all of them the same, unless your picking up pugged players, and then wouldnt the smarter idea just be to have 4 shaman and a dk in one group then have the 5th shaman join a guild run or somthing simular?

i think the best idea would be to have a 6th tank account like i have and just do a rotation of your characters one shaman will always be left out but then he will be in on tomorrows run.

if you want my advice mate either drop one of the shaman, and have a full time tank on that account, or get a tank account, i think leveling 2 tanks up your going to kick yourself at the end of it for the amount of hassle its going to be. take the 2 death knights to 59 work out which one is going to be the account that can gift levels ding that one to 60 first, wait till the other is just about to ding 60 and give him a gift level will just about be ready to ding 61 this is what i did.

My tank and 5th shaman share the same account and I've been debating rolling a DK tank on one of the other shaman's account for this exact reason. The only other reasonable choice would be to buy a 6th account and move the tank over and then you can run whatever shamans you want. Would you rather spend $15 more a month or would you rather have an additional tank to worry about leveling/gearing? If you like diversity then rolling a 2nd tank also gives you the opportunity to try out a new class.

Simpleton, he means that he has 5 shamans that he wants to gear up through instances and because his tank shares the same account as one of his shamans he cannot run this shaman through instances by himself because then he loses the ability to tank for that shaman. Myself and I'm sure many others have this exact problem.

    Simpleton,

Your idea is certainly not without merit. I'm on the fence as to whether to open a 6th acct. Obviously I can afford to pay for 5 already...it's just that with economic threat looming, do I want to open 6th.

My original intent was to find out how others do it. I love having 5 shamans for world pvp and bg's and I would like to have them geared for that. I don't want to drop one with the amount of time I put into leveling her. So at this point I really don't know what I want to do.

I got a 6th account for this reason.. to gear up 5 other accounts by always having my 6th account tank available. It was worth it for RAF, but now that RAF is over, I may transfer that character back to one of my 5 accounts and cancel the 6th.

you know, it's attitudes like that that cause the economical threat becoming an actual problem. If people stop consuming the way they are used too, companies will tip over! :P

Not saying you should or shouldn't open a 6th account, but the looking of an economical threat is hardly arguement enough to decide not to open a 6th account. In my opinion. If you're just short on cash and weigh the cost to the profit you'd feel like you would get in return, and decide it's not worth your while. Then so be it though ofcourse. xD

Kaynin's right. Keep spending your money to support failing companies, or the government will just take your money to bail them out anyway. Either way, the companies are getting cash and we're getting screwed. Of course, gaming has been relatively un-phased by the recession.. so this doesn't quite apply to Blizzard as well as many other companies.

(Go buy a new car! We'll give you tax incentives after we've already sent significant chunks of your tax money to these companies! Double-whammy!)

..in case it's not blantantly obvious.. it's my belief that federal bailouts of failed companies = bullshit. Let them fail, and other smarter companies will step in their place. You can't recover from a recession until it bottoms out, and prolonging the bottoming out is what had Japan through a decade-long recession in the 90's. We're not doing too good at learning from the mistakes of others right now. This whole concept of propping up the housing market is what's going to prolong the recession we're in..

I know it doesn't answer your question, but you could consider running 4 shammys + druid tank. A boomkin + 4x shaman arena team would probably work just as well as 5x shaman. You'd get starfall, MoTW, thorns, typhoon for pushback (to replace the currently OP thunderstorm), cyclone, and tranquility.

I'm always entertained on these boards. I post things and sometimes they explode lol.

My wife and I are definitely what you'd call hardcore consumers. She and I are keeping others employed every time QVC appears between commercial breaks for American Idol (Did I say she and I?...I meant she is).

That being said, what I'm really worried about is her finding out how many accts I really have and bringing down the hammer..."why do you need so many, wow is stupid, you're an idiot"...to which I just laugh and say who's watching American Idol and who's killing horde trying to steal MY mining node.

What I'll probably end up doing is leveling my DK with the help of 4 shamans and then transferring him to a 6th acct long enough to run heroics for gear.

I have been thinking about this. SRSLY. But my reasoning was that I can't beat the first boss in AQ40 without an offtank.
How am I supposed to get pretty dresses for my pally tank when I can't 5box the first boss?!
