I took pally/shaman to outlands and it's been slowish. I blow past mobs, but geez that exp bar is going up slow (well, to me).

Biggest issue (and time waster) is figuring out what quests I can skip without losing a good quest opening up later. The other issue is just being tired of going through outlands.

I'm trying to stay in hellfire area until shammy is 62 (pally will be 63.5). Then it's off to Zang for kill quests only til 63. Terrok til 64. Negrand from 64-66 (or however far I can get). And then probably Blade's until 68 and I'm done.

Since the 3.0 patch you can easily get to 68 and head to northrend by just doing the quests in HFP+Zang+Nagrand - at least that's what I noticed on my DKs for for instance
2,3,5 boxing wow with Wow Open Box and MAMA, give them a try!

Im almost 64 with my new group. So far I did the easy to MB quests in HellfireP. I didn't do any of the quests for that goblin group (no way in hell im picking up 30 ground spawns for each toon) or any that wanted me to collect random drops., but I did do the one to pick up 8 scrap wood and 8 scrap metal as the followup quest had a good reward and was MB friendly. Ive run Ramparts and Boodfurnace a few times and completed the quests for thoes instances as well. Currently im running through about 20 or so odd MB friendly quests in Zangermarsh. When I finish thoes I should have all toons at 64 or very very near it. I plan on hitting Ramps or BF again if im not then move on.

I do have a question, if your in your low 70's would it be worth it at all to try and do BC Heroics for some loot as well as xp and then with a few levels under your belt and some gear hit WotLK?

just hit 68 with my preist and 4 hunters. having a blast doing my own instances. trying to decide if i want to activate the wotlk on all the accounts or finsh to 70 in outlands. i didnt want to lvl through 70 with an 80 because i needed to know how to play these guys. i think im going to finish my 5 druids to 60 before the raf runs out, then maybe play with my pally, pries, mage, lock, lock team (which i started with but realized i needed lots more experience before i could actually play them well.) ok stream of consiousness over. been multiboxing for 40 days now and am loving it.

inch: Current Status of my Army:

    5x Warlocks - lvl 69 (50k from 70) - Netherstorm
    5x Druids - lvl 60 - Hellfire Pen (gifted Zhevra's x5  )
5x Shamans - lvl 62 - Hellfire Pen (Just grinded Winterpring Frostsaber)
5x Hunters - lvl 62 - Hellfire Pen (Just grinded Winterpring Frostsaber)
    5x Mages - lvl60 - Winterspring (grinding Winterpring Frostsaber)

    mixed group:

    1x Paladin - lvl 70
    1x Rogue - lvl 60 (gifted)
    3x Priest - lvl 60 (gifted)

Once my Locks Hit 70 i will be looking at 6 manning Kara, as my paladin (t4/5 geared) is on a seperate account and also running QD dailes with them untill the other groups hit 70.

Once i hit 70 with all the groups I will probably look to upgrade the accounts to WOTLK

(pure Questing all the way to 70 (apart from ZF for carrot on a stick) - no other instance runs) - even doing the collection quests if the reward/ quest chain is worth it

    Default Group mix for powerleveling?

I'm trying to figure out the quickest way to get a bunch of toons to 80. Ideally I'd like to have access to at least 1 of each class (already have a nice mage). I don't really care for hunters or rogues (my guild is already full of them anyways), but I can see gifting some of them to 60 just to have on hand if I change my mind later. At least initially I'm not in this to multi-box permanantly, but I can see how it is addictive. Hardware wise I may be limited to 3-boxing, but I 'm hoping to be able to get away with 4 if I don't really care about the FPS. I'm currently 3-boxing some trial accounts and getting ~30FPS on all of them.

My original thought was to run some mixed groups up that would be the traditional mix of tank, ranged DPS/heals. I wanted to keep it fairly simple to control seeing as I don't really know what I'm doing yet - so probably limiting myself to 2 classes at a time, questing and instancing as I went. With only 4 toons though I'm afraid I'll be a little bit limited on the instances I can run - i.e. have to run them 1 or 2 levels behind.

Paly, 3x Priest (gift 1 hunter and 1 rogue)

Druid, 3x Shaman (gift 1 Warrior and 1 Warlock)

After seeing some of the ideas here, I wonder if I wouldn't be better of taking my main (80 Frost Mage, Naxx-10/T7 geared) and running the other 3 slaves in tow and just boosting them all the way to 80 (or as close as I can get and then quest from there). That would save me the trouble of trying to make sure that I was running viable groups at least until about level 65 or so when I can no longer effectively boost them. If I can pull off 4-boxing (hardware wise) - that should save me 60 gift levels to spread around.

    Paly, Warlock, Priest

    Warrior, Druid, Shaman

(gift 1 hunter and 1 rogue and still have 60 gift levels left over)

I think it may come down to how I can best level after 60. hmmmm.....
