However this thread could have promise if people start listing something totally "fail" they've done as a multiboxer (like running off a cliff with their main on accident and having all 4 clones follow them off).

Biggest fail for me was starting a quest that involved hopping on a plane - I have an addon that auto accepts and auto chooses options on all 4 clones, but before it could duplicate my "hop on the plane" click, my main's plane took off and the 4 clones turned and started following it - right off the ledge.
I ran off the cliff outside wyrmrest tower, if you run out and follow the road without looking you get a long fall with plenty of time to think about how much of an idiot you are before going splat.

I clicked the surfing on rockets quest without realizing I was going to take off this caused my followers to not only go off a huge cliff but to get scattered all over in the water and on the cliff surfaces in a way I eventually ended up spirit rezzing two of them after spending far too much time trying to get everyone back to their bodies.

    Reoccuring Failure for me:

I use a dual-bar setup. Bar 1 PvE, Bar 2 PvP. I swap back and forth depending on instances vs. questing / ganking. Basically makes my healer and tank DPS.

I often zone into instances without changing my bars back to "PVE" then wonder when I wipe miserably. lol

I use separate bars for pve and pvp, the # of times I have been on the wrong bar smashing a button and wondering why I wasn't getting the expected result is embarrassingly high. The worst is my #3 bar is a utility bar with bandages, food, pots and that type of stuff forgetting to switch back and spamming away on those buttons does nothing except waste your stuff and get you killed ;)

    My biggest fail.

One of my first 5 man setups was a client on each computer. Problem was, one of the systems was upstairs. Every time I had to accept a quest, or click a dialog box for a group, rez, death, etc I had to run upstairs. I started to hate escort quests as much as collection quests. More than once I was not able to accept the escort quest fast enough.

Several times ive spent an hour plus getting to the bottom of an instance to loot someones head only to get to the quest turn in and find one or more toons had either forgotten to loot it, or failed because their bags have been full for the last week and I didnt notice.

PvP. Many times at lower levels my entire 5 man group is killed by a high level toon with one aoe spell.
Missing picking up a quest item on one of your characters or one of them not getting credit for something and not realizing until you have run half way across the map to turn in a quest or hearthed, or going to do a quest and one of your characters didn't get it because their inventory was full.

How about a single rogue keeping your entire team busy messing with your main, that is embarrassing.

How about when one of your toons is still in combat when you hit your flying mount hotkey (pretty much anywhere in Icecrown)...and don't know till Jamba gives you the /raidwarning "Seiae: Low Health!" Seiae has died.

I do that at least once a day

I think that is a requirement of boxers to sequentially kill your alts. Mine was the harpoon "flight-path" thing in Howling Fjord. Never did it before and main gets on, alts follow, deathx4.

I feel fail as a WOW player not just a boxer since I stop and get stuff I like. I would finish the Wraithgate chain since I want to see the cinematic. I go get a nice wrist for my chars that is down a chain with a couple of collection quests in it. Can I make due with what I have, sure, but the ones I want are better. I don't rush to max level. I like to aim for certain things that I feel will make me better. Some people rush to max and do heriocs, some (okay, problably only me), get nice stuff along the way.

I feel akward lately. I can't really do everything I could normally do in the past. I guess I am missing a healer. 5 hunters. 5 DKs. I feel like I should bench one guy for an instance run and get a healer of my own or a pick up healer. I just feel like the PUG char is going to make fun of me since I pay $4,000 a month to box and still can't do content. If there were enough elites outside of instances to pick on, then I wouldn't worry about instances. It just seems like the instance mobs drop better stuff and more exp. Not sure what to do about it yet.

Besides, failing is just a learning experience so you know what to do different next time. Edison, "I found 2,000 way to not make a light bulb."

I wouldn't even know where to begin....

It took me 3x longer to level with RAF compared to everyone else it seems. So, my RAF = normal everyone else.
I didn't know that you get a free level for every two levels you grant. So, I never planned for that and somewhat wasted a bunch of free levels.
I put my first teams main/tank on an account that was a veteran account. Doesn't seem like a problem, but since it was my main tank any other toon I leveled on this account needs to be transfered (i.e., toons to swap out with).

I tried the normal mode starter Northrend instances and got owned by the first boss. All info on the mobs I tried said they were really easy to do. Lol, not for me. So, I decided to just level to 80 and go back.
When vehicle follow was introduced, I was doing some quests and somehow my toons ended up all over the place and parachuting down spread out all over the zone. I had a ton of problems with this on various quests, thankfully there hasn't been too many. The worst is when you go into a vehicle and it "phases" and you can't see your unmounted toons - something I didn't realize even occurred so I am running around trying to figure out where they went.
I wiped many times on the elite quest mob in Zul'Drak named Drakuru. I didnt even realize he was tosses some AOE exploding crap until the third wipe. Didn't help build my confidence for doing instances!!
Missing picking up an item on ONE of my slave toons and having to go back and redo it.....or not being successful on a escort quest on ONE toon. GAH!!
I am still not 80 (very close though).

Check - first time I did Riding the Wavelength: The Bombardment my alts happily followed my flying main off the platform to their deaths

Check - It's always a case of "I'm sure the lift will be up for a second longer"

The other occasional fail - I have auto dismount set up and sometimes when i go to type something in gchat while flying, i forget to hit the enter key and the next thing I know, my guys are falling to thier deaths. Usually happens very late at night....thankfully if I'm playing my druids, I can instantly switch back to flight form.

I failed big time yesterday. My instancing group is composed of a 76 warrior and 4X 75 shaman.

I was bored and cleared Magistrar's Terrace easily and since I was in the area, I went into the 25-man Sunwell Plateau.

Charged the first robot walker and the tank died in about 8 seconds. Rest of the party wiped in less than 15 seconds.

Rezzed, hearthed back to Northrennd to lick my wounds.

    o The fails.

Ive done aldor rise probably a hundred times. -100?

    -1 jsut hit 80, yesterday.

But not only that, when i was doing the harpoon quest on tower of storms, i harpooned on to my own guy on his dragon, then harpooned off.

If anyone has done this before they know that the the dragon goes by bye and your other toon goes WAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! and hit the bottom of tower of storms like a minute later. Hilarious.

I was litterally killed by a shaman in hex form. My other two slaves just stand there.. like wtf?
And while in hex form the whole time (could not ebelieve it didnt break) he just shot me down.

My PvE team consists of two dwarves and a gnome. Gnomes have trouble keeping their heads above water, especially when following. That gnome has drown, more that once.

For me F8 is ground mount while ctrl+F8 is flying mounts. Sometimes on a cliff I have pressed just F8 and gone running off the edge to splat on the ground. I've dopne this once while grouped with my mboxing mate who just laughed at me.

Also, while playing solo on my druid, I've jumped off Aldor rise, planning to shift into flight form, but I died cos I was mashing seal form and wondering I kept getting an error message
