No, not deep into blood. They are deep enough to get bloodworms 3/3 and Blood aura 2/2. The rest is a touch in frost and the rest in unholy. Look up my armory and you will see. Bløødfiend (alt 0248 for the special O's) has the highest defense right now, but I am working on getting the others up to date as well. I finally got them all the tanking ring from Azjol-Nerub (final boss). Now will work on getting them the quested ring from Drak'Tharon Keep (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=39650). With these two rings, I can free up some other items to get the attack back up.

Interesting build, see I was checking the new fake patch notes and one thing mentioned was Heart Strike going up to 4 targets hit (!!!!!) so if that's true I may go deep blood for all. I'm just not sure about missing talents that up heart strike ( I see you skipped that and went vendetta). Being as you have no healer I understand, though. I built a level 80 talent spec that went blood worms and aura and then went into unholy to get bone shield. However this skips any ice talents and I worry that the +armor and Icy Touch upgrade are just too mandatory to skip.

edit: I wish there were a DK forum where we could discuss these things, lol. I hate derailing your posts. Would you mind listing the attack sequence you have running on your tank and slaves? I would appreciate it much!

Someone else asked me this before, but I do not use castsequence on any of my guys. If one gets stunned or gets off of the "sequence" in any way, it just hinders their dps more than helps them. I spam IT, PS and Blood Strike on 3 of my 5. On the other 2, in place of Blood Strike, I use Pestilence to spread the diseases if I am fighting large crowds. I spam these three til I have a lot of runic power, then will start spamming obliterate and deathcoils. Works great, damage is good and things die quick, which is always a good thing.

If I know there is no AOE to deal with, I take out pestilence and just have them blood strike as normal on the other 2. Heart Strike sounds interesting. If I go that deep though, I am giving up either some defense and losing out in the frost tree or I can't go deep enough in unholy to keep the full time pets. I guess I will be doing a lot of experimentation at 80 to see which is best. For right now, this works out ok.

How do you make sure that every guy is on his rotation? Seems it would be difficult and that's why I use a /castsequence. Ya if they get off the rotation it sucks, but I just dont see how I can make sure everyone is hitting on everything.

You just have to watch them close. If my #2 guy is hitting, I know #3,4,5 are hitting also. since they are on follow on the "leader". I have found with melee, its good to be on the front "side" of them. On really large mobs, if you are in the middle of them or under them, you start getting "You are not facing in the right direction" or whatever that annoying msg is. The only time I will fight head on is if I know there are no knockbacks or AOE attacks incoming.

In those cases, I just stack all my guys on top of each other and go to town. I would really love to tell you there is a science to the whole thing, but I have just gotten to the point where I know whats going on in a half a second and fix the problem on the fly. I play with all my guys on one monitor, 1 pc. These guys that are playing with 3 or more different monitors I just don't get. I have a smaller "view", yes. But I see everything and can react much quicker if all my views are very close to each other.

When I am running through a zone, I will usually have one guy facing backwards as a "rear view mirror" of sorts, one looking to the left and one to the right. The other is looking up a little. I cannot tell you how many times I have quickly moved and pulled someone out of the sky to kill them in about 2 seconds. I know they are like "WTF just happened". 5 boxing with your views closely together like this prevents you from being "surprised".

lol nice, I didnt know you could force the camera to stay in rear view mode. (Learn something new everyday!) As soon as I let go of mouse the camera returns to top down view. How did you do that?

edit: So whats your next dungeon to try? OK? Or maybe Drak/Gun?

Somewhere in your interface there is a camera follow mode option. Just select "NEVER" on that and you can point the view to however you wish and it will stay that way. Next project is Drak'Tharon Keep. I ran it last night for the first time. 0 deaths and cleared all 4 bosses. Last boss was funny. I was fighting him forever it seemed like. I could only do damage at certain points, the rest of the time I was not able to attack, in skeleton form and going WTF?!?! So....LOL....while I was fighting on one pc, I was on my other pc in wowhead.com looking up that boss going "ok what am I doing wrong here". Once I realized I was attacking with the wrong buttons LOL....I downed him in no time. It was just funny that the guy were taking next to no damage and I was just on cruise control. I could have stepped out and gone to the bathroom pretty easy without a problem.

I will record a full run tonight for everyone. I did it for the other tanking ring. The dungeon is super easy though and I didn't even have any close calls whatsoever. Out of all my guys now at level 76, the lowest defense is 530 with them. My "leader" is at 541 =) I know, anything more than 538 is a waste, but he is there. As they get higher in their gear, I may trade out more stuff with offense in mind. Right now, hardly anything can hurt them though.

Actually heroics only require 535, its raids that are 540 and really anything above that is not wasted as it gives you more dodge, parry, and miss rating(and block, but we dont care about that.) I ran Drak yesterday at 75 and smoked it. I expected to wipe on Novos, but it turned out to be super easy. I think I will be trying Gundrak today or tomorrow, but I know that last boss is going to be hell (AE cleaves and the more cleaves you get the more bleed damage.)

edit: Oh and I accidentally pulled the Dinosaur boss when I was clearing for him and so I started with 2 adds + boss that was beating on my healer and still won, lol :thumbsup:

I play with all my guys on one monitor, 1 pc. These guys that are playing with 3 or more different monitors I just don't get. I have a smaller "view", yes. But I see everything and can react much quicker if all my views are very close to each other.

This is why I only 5-box on 2x 24" LCDs instead of all 4 of my monitors. Keeping the windows close together makes it easy to watch everyone at the same time, and use different views on each to have a 360* field of vision. If I know I may get jumped by the opposite faction in world PvP, I have one of my alts looking straight up.. with eyes to the sky!

My DK team cleared Gundrak today, was a lot easier than I thought it would be... We are all 76 and after clearing it I decided to check the boss levels on wowhead. 78! Lol I didnt even notice. I can see the last boss being really ugly in heroic though. ;(

edit: two guys died on last boss because I forgot that impale means they have to be healed to full. Woops!
