Default Will this combo be too complex?

Hello, I am a fairly new multiboxer. I have been toying around for a while with multiboxing, but only recently dedicating alot of time to it. After playing several characters, I am interested in doing a Pally(tank) Druid(Balance/dps) Shaman(Resto) combo. Since these are all different classes, would you consider this to be too difficult for someone with a small amount of multiboxing experience? Particularly, would I be better off using a different combo that is more effective and easier to execute? Additionally, I will be multiboxing primarialy for pve purposes. Thank you in advance for your reply.

depends how good you are with macro's. If your expert macro maker shouldn't be a problem.

Shouldn't be all that hard to work with that combination, what is the goal though? I would say you will find far less experienced people with 3 or 4 characters then there are with 2 or 5, even 10. From what I have seen myself and with posters on these forums most people go from single boxing to two and then to 5 or more, there isn't really much benefit in boxing 3 or 4.

Don't taunt the tri and quad boxers... X(
tri-boxing = generally has friends they play with to do instance with and what not.
quad-boxing = generally pvp'er for arenas, also same subbing in an out for friends.

I dont think you will have much trouble, just spend some time now and then working on setting up macros and keybinds in a way that suits you.

I started with a mixed group (pal/priest/shm/2x mage) and although I cant box them as effectively as if they were controlled by single players I dont really feel that they are too complex to control.

I dont know the classes that well, but I think you have a good team there, each char should be able to take a few hits, so you will have a bit of a buffer of time to sort out any situation that is starting to go bad (my mages and priest have a bad habit of folding very quickly if the paladin lose aggro).

As they can all hold their own in melee I'd recomend using them like that rather than treating them as casters.

I've written a guide for quick and easy macro setup - you _don't_ have to be an expert to multibox different classes

Here's a lil something concerning what we define with tough combo's.

Easy (And therefor most liked in PvP)
xNumber of the same class/spec, or two classes with perfect synergies (like priest/warlock). Ranged only. (perhaps with the exclusion of multiple DK-boxing due to the skills they have at their disposal. But they still require you to be on top of things.)

    Moderate
Any set up with max 1x melee and the rest ranged healers/dps.

    Hard
Managing multiple melee into a box.

Those are the three basic difficulties you will encounter. The rest is all based on how well your macro set-up is and your ability to see what's going on in a fight.
Slowly crawling back towards the experience that is Multiboxing Mayhem
