    Default Horrible FPS

Hello all! I wanted to see if anyone could come up with a reason as to why my FPS has taken a huge hit. I play 5 Shammies on my one computer. The specs are below

    Intel Q9550

Samsung SLC SSDs 64GB in RAID 0

    8GB of RAM

    GTX280

    Windows 7 Beta

I have been noticing that over the last few months, I have been gradually losing FPS, especially in places like Battlegrounds. I used to be able to keep a steady 30FPS on my main toon, and about 10-15 FPS on my other ones no matter where I went. It has gotten to the point now that in most places where there is lots of intense rendering, my WoWs will drop to about 1 frame per 10 seconds...manytimes resulting in disconnections. What is even more strange is that when this 1 frame per 10 sec happens, I can access things on my desktop as though I had no WoWs running...speed is just fine.

Any ideas, I would love to hear them!!!

No idea unfortunately but I have heard that graphics issue (FPS, artifacts, etc) can sometimes be fixed by deleting a file in the WoW directory - I think the config.wtf file in the WTF folder - this resets all your graphics settings so you'll have to reconfigure the graphics settings the next time you're in WoW.

Aside from that if you use maximizer and PiP, when you flip between windows using PiP it can and will cause this symptom because sometimes it leaves the background WoW window running at full fps even though its in the background - once you have 2+ WoW windows running at 50 FPS it can cause an issue.
