    Default Finally! Key config Question

Finally! After a few days waiting for stupid paypal and with help from keyclone (Robert) getting my account active I was finally able to test this out.

    I got a question now.

How would I set up movement keys? Meaning.

Window 1 I use ASWD to move around ETC. With out making the other windows move like that also do I just disable the keys binds for movement on the other characters?

And as for the assist macro.. Do I target the target first then click assist then cast my skill?

    Thanks.

BTW good convo Robert. Thanks for all your help tonight.

Add the WASD keys to the "Do not pass" List. This way they'll only be working on the Active Window.

hi Diamndzngunz and welcome to dual-boxing.

it was a pleasure speaking with you last night. if you have any other problems, just give me a call (or drop a note)

as for assist... yes. from your main, target the monster then hit assist to get your clones in sync. the fire away.

as for movement, i only use my mouse to move. that way, in the heat of it... if i need them all to spin or advance a step, they can.

that's something you'll figure out as you go and is probably up to personal preference.

Wouldn't it work great to just map WASD as movement on your main character, but have the arrow keys mapped as movement on all the characters? That way you could choose, and of course still use the mouse if you wanted to.

That would mean that all the clones move at the same time. The easiest way to do it would be to move using WASD on all, and just add those Keys to the "Do not pass" list. This way you only move the one character at the time.

Being brand new to multi-boxing (I'm tripling Mages) WoW (I played Alliance on Magtheridon with Xzin and his clones, so he's the one that inspired me to do it), I've picked up a few ideas from him, these forums, and my own experiences.

I would not unbind WASD on the clones. Do as the others have suggested and set WASD to the "Do Not Pass" list. I bound the arrows to move all, but they get used very, very rarely.

F9-F12 are keybound to do the following:
F9 moves the clones forward without moving main window.
    F10 moves the clones backward.
F11 moves one clone left and the other right.
F12 move the first clone right and the other left.

The F11 and 12 bindings seem weird, but I've found it useful for ensuring LoS in some places.

I have my main's movement left at the WSAD. Then I have my alt set to the arrows and to Shift WSAD.

When I hold Shift WSAD all my toons move.

I personally don't put anything on my "Do not pass" list. At least, not yet.

I like being able to say the exact same things at the same time to confuse people or emote. It's funny.

I just unbind / rebind things to some kind of cryptic combination if it's something I don't want to accidentally do.
