or download VMware Converter and let it do the work for you (although you will have to clean out some of the crap it leaves behind. But drivers for the VMware SCSI and video should be installed automatically for you)

I decided to do a clean install of 2003 web as a VM with my "Basic" setup, then make a copy and use the copy for development so in the future when I start a new project I have a clean environment (and have a safe place to really test thing on)
Last time I messed with a VM they really sucked (many years ago)... looks like they have really really improved.
