    Default How do you dungeon?

Just curious how all you 5boxers typically handle dungeons.

I just dinged 15, did RFC at 14 and it was a bit wierd.

Im running pally/priest/mage/2xshaman setup. I have the mage assist pally to get his sheep target and then use a "/cast [target = focustarget] frostbolt" to nuke while keeping sheep target.

I sometimes accidentally hit my assist macro (habit) mid-pull which royally messed up the fights when the mage sheeped the DPS target and the ex-sheep went to go beat up the mage. I had to scramble to get the mage to retarget the sheep and sometimes the mage died.

Not sure if what im doing is the best way or if theres another better way to handle CC targets.

Also, positioning could probably have been improved. all 4 other characters were pretty much on autofollow on the pally the whole time. On teremus the devourer i positioned the party pre-pull so they wouldnt take aoe damage.

Happens to me to. I four box. The mage will sometimes sheep the wrong target.

I find you have to mash that assist key for the mage to pickup the correct sheep target. So basically target your sheep target, mash the assist key. Have the mage sheep it, then target your dps target, and mash the assist key again.

Not sure why that happens, but my assist key rarely ever works on the first press.

I use focus for my mage for the mob to sheep.

I have this for my mage.

    1st button:
    /assist party1
    /focus

    2nd button:
    /cast [target=focus] sheep

    3rd button for everyone:
    /assist party1
    /cast whatever...

If sheep breaks, I hit the 2nd button so that only the mage will sheep the focus.

I forgot to mention, I wait a second or two before sheeping, attacking.

I have 3 mages though, so sometimes I have all 3 sheeping the same target just for the fun of it.

While it does limit me in how hard of an instance I can run, having pet tanks has been nice with the 2.3 patch changes. AoE mobs now usually only hit one or maybe 2 of the 4 pets as the rest have gotten behind the target. Quite nice. Worked like a champ on Ghazan in Underbog (who has a nasty cone poison bolt thingy).

As for targeting for CC, I imagine this would be more difficult with a melee main than with my priest main, primarily due to sheep breaking on damage, so you have to be extra careful. I was doing this with Banish in underbog and it was pretty straightforward. Let the pets pick up aggro, then banish 1-2 mobs while killing the main mob. My macros are all /assist focus, then /attack macros, so I don't use the [target=focustarget] thing.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

I'm rolling with a Prot Pally and 4 Shadow priests. Once you get concecration the game is easy mode. I just grind instances and run in on the Pal with priests in tow, then tap my spread macro to get them off follow and move the pal like 5 more yards away so the priests are out of AoE range. i can hit concecrate everytime it pops and just keep agro with no prob on all mobs. Then the priests dot, dot, dot, renew, dot, dot, flash heal and it's time to loot 5 mobs and move on. The only snag is that Mind Flay causes the priests to stop following so it's best to just park them before you start DPSing. with the spells i have now my renews hit for 30x4 a tick and my flash heals are 200-250x4. For a 1.5 sec cast 800-1k hp is just amazing. I can't wait for VE, VT cause that's going to ROCK! I want to PvP as 5 Shadow Priests at 70 but i have a 70 shadow Priests on the Pally's account so there is no point in leveling another on thae same accoune and Pallys are the Best AoE tnaks around, which is great since i have no CC =p I'm still not sure how i'm going to work Shadow Form yet since i heal with all my priests at the same time and i can't cast flash heal or renew in shadow form, but i guess it all depends on ing VE x4 will be enough HPS to keep my tank up or not. Has Anyone got 40+ SHadow Priests/Pal team?

    it's not really a macro.

I have the > key set to a diferent things on each toon

Priest 1 it's bound to strafe left
Priest 2 it's bound to strafe right
Priest 3 it's bound to forward
Priest 4 it's bound to back

it makes it easy to put on shows when people follow you around too.

you just hit your spred Key till your toons are far enough away, center your main in the middle then hit your follow key then /dance.

This looks pretty cool with undead chicks dancing around a BE chick.

How's that going for you? I've been thinking about doing the same thing, actually.

I'm only 25 atm but it's working out just fine so far. Pallies hold aggro like mad with just concecrate.
