Default Mouse broadcasting issues since new patch

I am new to multi-boxing but jumped into the deepend with a 5-box setup. I decided to use octopus because it was free and I did not want to spend money on something that I was unsure of (as it happens both myself and my GF find it great fun and we both play 5 accounts so when we hit 80 we are going to try the 10 man content).

The issue is that since the patch when I broadcast both clicks and cursor and click anywhere that can move the camera it causes it to alter the camera position for all of my characters, when clicking on quest boxes and your talent tree it works perfectly well and it also works fine when you drag and drop icons on to or off of the action bars. Before the patch it was not doing this and I can only assume that something blizzard changed is now causing the conflict. If I just broadcast the cursor it is fine and the same with clicks only.

I know that the developer has stopped updating octopus but I was wondering if anybody else has encountered this issue and has found a workaround. I have tried changing the settings in octopus but it did not seem to work.

Any help or advice would be welcome.

I don't use octopus, but from using IS I can tell you that WoW had a bit of wonkyness that was coded around to make mouse broadcasting work properly... it had to do with where the cursor was.

Lax fixed it in a few hours after I identified the issue for him, it appeared to be only Vista boxes... Anyhow I had the exact same problem you are describing (right click broadcast = ALL cameras ZOMGSPIN, left click was similarly odd).

The current build of Innerspace (restart IS if you havne't since the patch, it should auto-update) has this fixed on vista. Lax indicated that it wouldn't have affected other OS's so if you have a problem there either stop by IRC and let him know or let me know and I'll get the info to him.

Sorry I thought you meant there was a fixed version of octopus.

I haven't mboxed in a while and use key clone on my main setup but consider octopus too (specially for multiple machines if I head that way) - so I don't have a problem but was curious from OP if octopus broke and then was fixed

Since I am running Vista 64 I could try it in windows XP to see if I get the same problem. The main issue I was concerned about though was targeted AOE spells but after testing it with just mouse clicks broadcasting it seems to work well enough so I am not sure if it is worth the hassle.

I am away this weekend though so I will have a look next week sometime and if XP fixes it I will update this thread.
