Steel Series World of Warcraft mouse in Lord of the Rings Online
I haven't really read anyone using this mouse in Lotro so I thought I would make a post on it. At first I was just looking for a mouse other then the Saitek 3200 series. It has an issue of mouse drift. What I mean by that is that if left sitting on you screen after about 10 to 20 seconds it would start sliding across your screen.
Which was what lead me to buying a new mouse. I couldn't find the Logitech G9 mouse at Best Buy. Everything they had at the time was wireless and took batteries or had to be recharged. Bad idea for us people who might do a weekend sitting of gameplay. So the only other mouse was the WoW mouse, so I got it as it was the only corded mouse in the store. At first I didn't mess with the extra buttons as I thought it would be all set for WoW. So for almost 2 months I didn't mess with the extra buttions. I now regret not doing it. I found that I was able to reprogram those as well as rename them.
But the real treat was when I discovered that the reprogramed buttons were broadcasting in multiboxing as well. I found this perfect for use on my Alienware M17 Laptop that I run 3 instances. It makes up for the G15 keyboard I have on my desktop system.
The only glitch I found was that the after hitting one of the programmed buttions, the next keystroke on the keyboard I had to hit twice and then everything was normal, which is easy to work around.
The feel of the mouse is a little strange at first but once you get used to it, you will find it a godsend for multiboxing.
My appolgies at making a new post on this mouse but as it was a diffirent game I was affraid that my post would be lost in the other post that is all WoW and no Lotro boxers would ever see it.
