Ramparts: DKs Take Zero Skill

Ok, so here is my DK video of Ramparts.
Quality is decent, still trying to figure out Vegas to make better quality without making the File size overly big.

All Dk's are blood specd.
Quality - (D) Youtube
Quality - (C) Vimeo
Quality - (C+) WeGame Now this one is a little odd.. When I play it, there is no sound... But it could just be me...

Could someone give me some info on getting the best out of Fraps and Vegas for Quality/Size?

Also, Blood, Slave Pens, Underbog, ManaTombs are recorded.
So as soon as I sit down and throw them together, I will post them up.

i use these settings in vegas platinum 9, when uplaoding videos hd 720p to vimeo. should work for hd youtube also.

Only thing I would change would be the audio from 128 to 192. I can tell a big difference between the two, and 192 has more clarity in audio.

This of course does not matter if the source song added to the video is <128.

[align=left]Muffe, that Vegas setup came out pretty good with the Blood video (size jumped about 3 times more, but that's fine), I will try the Audio change in the Slaves Pen video and see what it does. Last night I also cleared Auchenai Crypts (by accident, walked into it and was like "woops... oh well, might as well...")

If anyone wants to see a specific Dungeon that is in my level range, I can run it and fraps it. At some point, I’m going to fraps some BG’s. No sound on the WEGAME video.

Pretty impressive, I run 4 DKs and a druid and havent wiped to any boss yet in outlands. Curious for your attack macros, do you include a /follow command in them? Also what is that UI, particularly the health bars. I need a new UI =)

Hmmm couple of pointers I could make for you just because I too run a 5-DK Blood setup:

1) Dont post a video anywhere saying "DKs take zero skill" - You will get the class nerfed and that will just piss off a lot of people, including myself. The recent change to blood aura stacking and giving double health (20% for a 5-box group)is even better, but as you go up in levels and eventually hit the Heroics, you will need as much healing as you can. Dont judge the 5-group setup this early.

2) You have good mobility with your guys, which isn't easy to do, but you are not making use of pestilence properly. On the first mob of a large group, put on your Icy Touch and Plague Strike. On one of your guys, in place of Blood or Heart Strike, replace that attack with pestilence. This spreads the disease on the main target to all other targets, which saves you some time and starts the dmg flowing on the group.

3) Get Improved Rune Tap and get the Glyph for it. That is 60% healing to all DKs every 30 seconds. 20% for yourself and 10% from each of the other DK's helps out a lot.

4) May want to convert party into Unholy and spec deep enough to get AMZ and bone shield while keeping 2/2 of Blood Aura. Later on casters will wreck your group with AOE.

Nice touch on Death and Decay however. You are dropping it efficiently and with all guys. What setup are you using to do this?

I will be posting some new vids myself, but will only post on here. I don't want Blizzard stopping the stackable blood aura effect or nerfing us - I am having too much fun with the guys. They own.

I need a new UI =)[/quote] Yeah, not sure why the WeGame one has no sound… Right now, the Blood vid is uploading to Tube, Game, and Vimeo, so when I get home from work in 3 hours I can post them, I promise it will have better quality…

Wiped once, (Black Stalker) I wasn’t paying attention to my button spamming (I use my left hand with my 58-Xkeys [b]for all my macros as you can see by my UI[/b], “that said hand got Phuked up in a motorcycle accident so it randomly spasms..” I was saving Run tap for the end with his nasty AOE dot and I pressed it at full health… he hit me with Chain lighting, dropped the AOE and I was WTFpwned.

As for the Macros…
I think it went something like:

/jamba-follow strobeonme all [font='Wingdings']<--[/font] this macro right here tells the toon to keep following and don’t stop. Even if they get snagged on a corner or something random in the world, the second you get in range of the /follow command, they will atomically starting following you again.

Using IS and Jamba, so with that setup, they are on constant follow, works very good with melee groups, this setup will allow for me to run any melee group I can think of.
Can use Keyclone, or any other program/hardware you want, as long as you have Jamba.

Attack macros go something like this.

/assist focus
/autoattack
/cast reset=target Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Death Strike, Death Strike

/assist focus
/autoattack
/cast reset=target Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Heart Strike, Heart Strike, Obliterate

Death Coil when I get any Rune power and keep on spamming Attack one, or attack two. Have two of them because I was not 62 with the other 4 yet, so I could not use Obliterate.

I don’t much use Attack One anymore, though it does wonders with the Death Strike. But with 5 Blood DK’s 20% health per hit and Coil… You don’t really need it. Better off with harder hitting attacks.

With the recent patch Heart Strike hits multiple targets, so it’s good to spec it.

As for the Units display, I can’t remember, I can look it up when I get home from work.

Ah ok I use the FTL system with Keyclone and I just put /follow focus at the beginning of my castsequence macro and it seems to work well enough. However when I spam it I notice my toons dont do their white hits much (/follow must turn off autoattack). They will swing when an ability becomes available again, but I imagine I lose a few white swings. Was hoping for a better system but it sounds like yours would have the same problem with Jamba constantly spamming /follow.
