Default New to Dual-Boxing (I put the thread in the wrong place last time i think)

Hi, i am looking into dualboxing in WoW. I want to dual box
priest/rogue first, then possibly change the classes later at 60. I am
dumbstruck at how to get it going.

I am going to set up RAF on my new account and run two cilents on the
same computer and use keyclone. I sort of figured out how to use
keyclone but still am weary. How do i make macros so that i can
autoaccept and complete quest on my new account without having to alt
tab back and forth. Also tips on macros so that my new account can use
a spell while my other uses a different spell (I.E rogue using SS and a
priest using smite) Mostly i am just wondering how to get it going. I
looked at the guides but they are very confusing. Could i use 1-5 on my
rogue and 6-10 on my priest so that my rogue uses 1-5 and i use those
for him and when i want to use my priest he uses 6-10? If anyone has
tips on making macros for it for accepting quests and completing +
rewards. Thanks, and if this post sounds weird i am just very excited
but have no clue how to get it going.

and Macro's for New Multiboxers - A Quick Start Reference got the macros to start up.

What you do is fks take Sinister strike on action button 1 on the rogue then make this macro on youre priest and put it in action button 1.

    /assist (youre rogue name)
    /cast Holy Fire
    /cast Mind blast
/castsequence reset=18 Shadow Word: Pain, Smite

(copy past from my priest remove the spells you dont have)

Now when you spam sinister strike on youre rogue youre priest will the first cast Holy Fire then Mind Blast, dot it whit shadow word pain, then spam smite until the CD on holy fire is over hope this helps

    how big is your monitor?
using keyclone you can separate your screen into windows allowing you to monitor all clients of wow running at once just click between them, beats alt+ tab.
i suggest using the keypad for macros on one character as well. very easy to control two characters at once.

Howdy Buclean and welcome to the forums!

yes, you can run as many different classes as you'd like.. but with each new class, the complexity increases.

as you picked a melee /caster combo (i love the rogue/priest combo), so long as you run the rogue as your main, you'll be fine. the issues with melee (breaking /follow all the time) won't hit you.. leaving you with just noodling with the keybindings.

as for how to layout your keys... get use to adjusting the wow keybindings associated with the action bar slots. i would prolly put sinister strike on the same key as smite, which would be a different key then my ambush/backstab/pickpocket (don't want the priest lighting up a smite while you're pickpocketing)

on a side note, you should have a macro for ambush/backstab... and do a pickpocket on the first line of the macro (insures you always get the loot )

other then that, just avoid drawing aggro on the priest and you're set. the rogue will pretty much be unbeatable in pve... so long as the priest doesn't run out of mana

    good luck and have fun,

    Rob

ps: please post a few screenshots of your crew in the screenshots section as they grow up. it's great to check out during lunch @ work
