Still weird how you got the boss to be targetable during the first insanity, casting the second insanity whilest for me the boss just ignored the second cast for me and just did spawned double visages on the first cast. :P

Yeah, he's been that way for a while, that's how people get the super fast kills on him, just requires a bucketload of dps. I'll go back and try it again tomorrow. I just did this on the 16th so I doubt it's been changed much, but who knows.

To anyone trying for this....

The reward is being removed in 3.1 So if you want your mount, get moving fast.

Do you know if they're removing all the mount rewards? i.e. from Glory of the Raider, etc.?

I believe only the raid mounts are being removed in 3.1, not the heroic one. So you can still get the red proto-drake (280% mount), just no longer the 10/25 man raid 310% proto-drakes -- plagued and black, I believe.

You still have plenty of time to get the current ones now as well. 3.1 is still -at least- a month away, knowing how fast Blizzard works.

Blizzard has already said in multiple blue posts that 3.1 was put up on the PTR extremely early because it needs a lot of extra testing. They also said they haven't even put in a large number of changes that are for 3.1 yet, and they will be adding them to the current PTR as they go, so I definitely don't think 3.1 will be here for at least a month.

Yeah based on past PTRs and current build quality I'd say at least 7-10 weeks before 3.1 goes live. Tons of time to do whatever.

They released 3.0.8 half baked.... they may do the same with 3.1

3.08 was still on the PTR for 2 months as well, and contained no content updates.

I think 8 weeks is a pretty conservative timeframe.

Herald Volazj seems to remain targetable if you have a DK in party, its some kind of bug. I could not make this happen with m y prot paladin so I got a DPS dk in my guild to come help (replaced prot pal with him)and we burned him to like 19% on the first insanity, he poofed to me but the DK could still hit him and he basically solo'd the liast 15% or so and killed it while I was fighting my images. Had I known he could target it I i magine I could have just assisted him and helped to finish the boss but I didnt even realize it till he died because I can actually kill 1 insanity phase in the timer... but didn't have to lol. Just 3 occulus achievements left and I'm all done on my alts! ( make it count, amber void, exp drake rider ).
