I have passed up over 6 million players in 6 months and am set up to pass more as time goes on.
stop this delusion - what metric do you use to consider you passed 6 millions players ? do you think there are 6 million active players whose highest character is level 47 ? no... there is maybe 100k of those... so even by that metric you're still in the 99% bottom... but when you consider your /played time and the investement... your ROI makes you for sure dead last.
Dont forget I spend 1 hour a day fighting off these wanna be gankers.
excuses excuses (and nobody ganked you, at least not glo or I before you got to 38 or so)

Still a lot of things to learn Sam.

    - 40 man raids: They date from original WoW, and have not been implemented in Burning Crusade or Wrath.
The easiest is probably Molten Core, or maybe Onyxia. I personally used to solo-kill Onyxia (when she used to drop more gold) so don't expect to be #1 of wow just by killing her alone lol.
Ony only takes one tank, so i think you can probably kill her when you get of age (lucky you they removed the attunement (which was the longest quest chain in the game).
If you actually get to kill Onyxia with your herd, i'll start to think you can get somewhere with your group.
In Molten core you might be able to kill Trash, but most pulls require several tanks. good luck. I doubt you'll even get near the bosses though.

    - 25 man raids: well, obviously then don't accept 31 people. Most have class mechanics involved and cannot be brute-forced. if you actually succeed in any of those, i will clap.

    - the "Outdoor' Raid: it's called Zul'Gurub, and it's like any other raid instance (just it happens to be an 'outside' landscape for the most part.
It's a level 60 raid from vanilla wow, not very difficult, and limited to 20 players.
Again most fights require some sort of class mechanics. to be honest, i think it will take you quite a number of wipes to kill the first two groups of Axe throwers that are in front the gates. You might be able to kill a couple of (level 60) bosses in there. maybe. Again, at level 80 i personaly solo a few of them without any issues.

    - Raid XP: basically, when you are in a RAID, you get minimal xp. I would say NO xp at all, but i think you actually do get a very little amount, but negligeable. check wowwiki for more info.
For the above places (raids 40, 25 and ZG, or any other 'raid' instance), you NEED to be in a raid to even enter the place.

    - Wintergrasp: Mostly based on Vehicles, which for a boxer are a bit annoying. For a 26-boxer will probably be a pain.
You might be able to brute force the place, but i doubt it though. all in all, you won't be able to gear up much in there (need arena points for most the stuff) and Wintergrasp fighting is only available every x hours in any case.

    - Regarding killing Loja: well done, however it doesn't mean you're good at the game. Anyone with 26x the spell power should be able to take down a player 10-20 levels above.
On my frost mage at 54 i solo-killed a warrior 70 once. true story (although we were fighting in water which can be problematic for melees )
with 26 level ~45 you should be able to kill any level 70 that comes your way. I believe alot on this forum have done it with 5x ~45.

    - Ranking: not sure how you think you've passed 6 million players in the last 6 months tho. is there a website that gives us this info?
As far as i see it, 95% of players have at least a level 70 (if not several) and most have a 80 or more. Any level 70 can kill a mob that you still cannot kill (a random level 70 boar for example) and are -by your definition- better at wow than you.
I would think that -by your own definition- you're in the bottom 5% of wow players at the moment, because some never got to level, or can't figure out how to kill a level 60 mob.

Good luck, you're moving forward so that's positive. Hope you get to outland soon.
Ow btw, xp needed to level in outland is 2.5 times greater than before level 60

    To correct myself: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...aidgroups.html
    "Experience
Defeating monsters while in a raid group grants substantially less experience than while in a normal group. However, enemies in raid dungeons also tend to yield significantly more experience per monster than normal monsters. "

    I wouldnt expect much though

Zub: I think you're wasting energy - nice thoughtful replies but... going to waste...

Also there is no point talking about wotlk raids because sam will probably never hit 80x31... I think it's more likely we all stop playing because of worldwide recession than sam hitting 80 any time in the next year or 2 (unless he suddenly starts getting a clue...)

It's either that or work. Giving WoW info is much more entertaining

As for Sam leveling, i think he'll get to 60 reasonably quick (by his standards) then stall at 60 for a bit - BIG xp needed.
Then he'll realize that outlands quests give 10k+ xp a pop and start questing some, then more, and eventually will hit 70 by Xmas. or maybe 65.
In any case at least 62 by Xmas.

My main plan is to do wintergrasp, I don't see any reason I can't. If people "bomb" me Ill try and get those goblin rocket launchers.
You do realize that when one side outnumbers the other, the side with the smaller number of players gets a stacking buff called Tenacity, which increases their power and survivability by a LOT. If you bring 25+ characters in there, combined with the normal people already in the zone, the other side is going to have like 80k hitpoints and one-shot every one of your characters.

It's also a bit premature to be planning for Wintergrasp when you are so far from being capable of getting to Northrend it's not even funny.

Plus, the objective of Wintergrasp is based around controlling vehicles and destroying buildings. You don't just stand there and try to mow down players by themselves.

Is anyone boxing 6 clients on one machine even able to move in WG? You are right about the tenacity buff, just zoning into WG will give the other team a nice advantage and Sam is horrible so not much chance he can make up for it.

I have killed and camped you until you logged off many many times without a single death all because of your original challenge and I will take it as a personal challenge if you say it again.

The reason why Sam can't do WG is WG is level 80... in 2-10 years when/if he ever gets to 80 nobody will be in WG and we'll be level 90 or 100 in some other zone.. it's good to dream though...

Is it just the exp you lose from not being in a group, the group add in or is there some more nerff, or does it just seem a ton less cause its divided 20 or 40 or whatever ways.

My main quesion is once you zone in in a raid, can you then break into groups and get group exp or does the instance kick anyone out who is not in the raid.

Glo you are absolutly nothing compared to what I went though on SZ. If you started on SZ (when there was an SZ) you would have quit in a matter of days. Also there is vitrually no penalty for death in WoW as compared to early EQ with corpse runs a mile .... I'm on a pvp server to pvp, I don't really care what the odds are I had guys kill me on SZ tons of times and I now can kill all of them without even trying. And now with my RAF gone there is even less incentive to level instead of pvping. I mean for all you guys talk why arn't you playing the much much harder game EQ1 instead of easy carebear WoW, may I ask? You understand that in EQ AFTER you get to the max level THEN you start on AA leveling (well actually you start before max), you have to kill what 5 times as many mobs (all elite I might add) to get to max level and 1000 AA in EQ, as compared to WoW. And there is no questing to max levels in EQ either lol ... And on EQ's pvp server? LoL you guys would find it so hard you would quit in no time. Can you imagine how many YEARS you have have to play to even have a chanch to kill me in EQ1?

Prepared Shammies have not gained a single level in 3 months now and none of you say he is lagging why is that?

Well that tenacity buff in WG is not so nice, well we will see, the game is constantly changing. I'm boxing 31 as thats what my computers will handle so thats that.

Well if you say that over 10 million wow players have level 70 plus characters well then I am still very low. I don't really know. Anyone who can kill a mob over level 52 is better then I am so whereever that puts me thats where I am.

Also for all the negitivity I am getting from the same 3 or 4 or 5 people, when players see me in game they are just amazed. People who havn't seen boxers before are just floored the first time.
