Not sure if anyone can help with my specific problem?

when i run my exe. file i get this message that pops up over the sign in screen

    Interface/GlueXML/AccountLogin.lua:30
    : attempt to call global
    'IsStreamingTrial' (a nil value)

i can hit "okay" and then sign in. it allows me to and then it says patch required and so i hit "restart". The patch downloads in an instant cause i already downloaded it once.

but then this pops up... This update does not need to be applied. It requires version 3.0.3.9183 of "WoW.exe", but you already have version 3.0.8.9464.

however looking at my wow.exe shows that it is 3.0.3.9183 so i am really confused. my wow.exe is what it is supposed to be but it says it is not. i have linked files but this is my main directory and the one all others are linked to. this main folder is wow1. i noticed that somehow wow3 had a 3.0.8.something wow.exe and thinking that this might be the problem i just copied the main wow.exe from wow1 to wow3 so that both had wow.exe 3.0.3.9183. i then confirmed that all the wow folders had this wow.exe. I ran the whole sign in again and got this error message at the end (i got the same odd message at the beginning of the sign in screen) This update requires "World of Warcraft" version 1.0.0.0.

i used the wow repair function and before i used it the wow.exe said that the last date modified was a date prior today. after running the repair it said that wow was repaired and the date modified was changed to today. when i went to run wow i got the same initial message and the same message about needing version 1.0.0.0. what is that and how do i get it? my version of wow.exe says its wow.exe 3.0.3.9183
I checked my data file and it is not blank.

Anyone have a walk through that i can use to straighten this out? Worst case senerio how to i get it running again?

EDIT: i am using vista 64
I got EXACTLY the same issue, running vista 64 as well. I have only tried to update on the main install as the clones use symbolic linking. I have tried running both the launcher and just the wow.exe both as admin after a bliz repair to no success at all.

"Reverting the game to a previous version may also assist with the troubleshooting process. In order to revert the game to a previous version, please try the following steps:
    1. Open your World of Warcraft directory (This is commonly located at C:\Program files\World of Warcraft)
    2. Open the folder called "Data"
    3. Delete the Patch.MPQ file
    4. Run the repair.exe utility found in the World of Warcraft directory
    5. Click the button "Reset and Check Files"
    6. The repair utility will say, "World of Warcraft is seriously damaged and will need to be reverted to an earlier version. After it has been reverted you may need to patch up to continue playing."
    7. Once the repair utility has completed, you will need to reapply the patch to enter the game. If you are having problems with the patch actually updating the game, this is most commonly corrected by uninstalling the game, then reinstalling, and trying the patch procedure again with no other programs running."

I found this on the blizz site and i am trying it now. Step #3 is key in this process. It takes you back several patches. It took me back to needing the patch where we got access to 51 pt talents for the first time. So far i have updated that patch and am working on the next one. I will post the results and impacts of this process on my problem with my wow1.

well i was able to get logged in following this process. now i am going to try to copy

Not sure if this is what you did, but what I do to update is run wow.exe only on my primary wow folder, let it update, then simply copy launcher.exe and wow.exe to my 4 clone installs (which have junction points). This is all that is needed due to the fact that everything in data is already updated from the primary install.
This is pretty much what i did!

After i copyed the wow.exe and launcher.exe everything worked, i messed around alot so im not 100% on everything i did since this message popped up on my main aswell.

Took me about 3-4 hours in total to fix the wow patch and macaroon, guess im one of the lucky guys today!

It appears that if you participated in lich king beta and did not delete/reinstall lich king when it came out that this is causing issues. I had to leave for work, so no idea if reinstalling will fix it. I let ya know later today.
