They're changing the Earth Shock glyph to lower the GC caused by ALL shocks by 0.5 seconds instead of ES by 1 second.

this might be worthwhile to take over the flametongue weapon glyph. It will make the combo that much faster.

I was thinking of using the +4% dmg to Lightning Bolt. Don't really see how the .5 sec of the GC will help much because if you cast a shock at say chain lightning its gonna be off the GC before you even done casting CL.

I think you are missing the point. In arenas this will be very good for using flame shock + lava burst since you will get off lavaburst much faster.

Right, wasn't thinking in terms of just FL+LB.

Doesn't help you cast the shock faster, but taking the GCD from 1.5 to 1 sec on all shocks is like a 50% haste buff (= direct DPS increase of 50%) for all shocks - the next spell you cast after the shock will start 0.5 seconds sooner. This is a big boost, not just for the FS + LvB combo.

Must be a bug, or they will certainly patch this. Taking all shock cooldowns to 0.5 seconds would be a 3x DPS increase in earth shock DPS PLUS a major bonus to FS + LvB for PvP, making this a no brainer glyph for both.

I don't know of addons to show the GCD, but you could /combatlog to log the detailed combat log to disk, and test with a spammable macro like /castrandom Flame Shock, Lightning Bolt. Spam this like a mother and let us know what you get for the minimal time interval between Shock and LB.

If it really does lower the GCD of flame shock to 0.5 seconds, I'd be tempted to try a bastardized build down to Nature's Swiftness in resto, instant ghost wolf in enchance, and elemental without ToW/Thunderstorm. FS + NS/LvB -> less than a second for what ought to be a kill shot. Go ghost wolf, run away for 3 minutes, repeat.

I don't think it would be a no-brainer for raiders.. the overall dps increase shouldn't be that big I think.. 10% LB should be much better. But it would be very good for pvp indeed, yes.
