Default How important is the name of the owner?

    Hello there!

I'm going to level my friends and my account to level 60 by dual-boxing a Warlock and a Priest with RAF. Both of us have different names.
Exactly how important is it that the names should be the same on our accounts? I'm just going to level to 60 and then solo the rest. Do anyone know if they check this somehow?

Any answer appreciated. Thank you a lot :-)

    Absolute.

You will get reported frequently. GMs will check your account names. You will get both accounts permabanned.

Have your friend play his own character if he wants to be 60 so much. It takes maybe a week or two if you're lazy.

    Thank you.

We were going to RAF together and I just bought WoW, 60 days playtime etcetera to do this with him. Then he's never online. I suggest to dual-box us, but now I certainly won't do it :P
I hate to always be the one getting abused by this 'friend'...

To add an official reference (and forum guidelines -- we don't condone that sort of behavior. Just a preemptive FYI.

Looks like you've got the right idea already from Algol -- feel free to "boost" your friend using RAF as long as they're the ones behind the keys of their account, and you're the one behind the keys of yours. It might help to set up a scheduled "gaming time" that you both can just hang out and do some boosting/leveling -- that way you both can get your leveling done without getting hit by any bansticks.

BTW if you're not interested in becoming a full time dual boxer, and just want to get your own alts up easier - pick up a copy of the classic game for $10-15.

By the end of its "free" month, you should have one character at 60 easy, 4-5 if you're hardcore about it (more so because granting levels means a 60 on the invited account turns one 31 into another 60 on the inviter). Note that the classic game cannot create the BC races, or access the BC zones - a slight bummer since their 10-20 zones are pretty sweet to get quest XP in, but not a huge sacrifice if you want cheap, easy leveling. And since they'll both be in your name, it's fully sanctioned.

a few weeks ago my mate did that algol. he also managed to get 12 copys of wow at a greatly reduced price (cheaper than a 1 month subscription) from a store that was closing down. so he now has 12 months of free RAF time if he does what you suggested.
