    Default Fps drop outs

Anyone else having a problem with fps dropping out in northrend. I mean one minute sitting pretty at 34-40 fps then the next second im down below 5. I have no idea if its just me or not thats why i am asking if anyone else has an idea how to fix this thanks.
They say spiders have 8 legs well i guess im a rare and unimaginable specimen. Ive got 9 legs and my web comes from that 9th leg. HaHa.

I've found that recently my fps is sitting around 5-10 all the time in northrend but for some reason it's not going over 15 even in the old world.

Of course I also just discovered that the fan on my laptop doesn't appear to be working so that might account for it.

i hate it its like i leave here goto bc or pre bc and no problems wow blizzard killed it with wotlk lol. I also dropped down to one char maximized all settings and didnt get over 15 fps but when in bc and pre bc got 50+ hmmm. Im beggining to wonder if i just had the same specs i have now with just a quad core would change that.

also noticed this happen a lot. i've had to result to turning all settings right down to minimum, all effects off and then running 800 x 600. its not pretty but it is at least playable. however i 4 box on 32 bit XP 4 gig ram, ( i think 32 bit only lets me have 3 though? ) 3.6 intel dual core cpu. before wotlk i could box 4 with almost full effects at native resolution for my monitor at around 30 fps for my 3 mini's and 70-80 fps on the mains. now its 15 max mini's and 60 max on main with all effects off.

Yes, it happens sometimes. The weird thing is that there is no HDD activity when fps drops down, CPU load is around 50-70% and there is plenty of free RAM, so my guess is that it is related to graphics card. Probably video RAM overflow or smth like this. I found that minimising all your WoW windows and restoring them back helps, though sometimes I have to do it twice.

i found that my 4 slaves fps dropped about 50% down to 30fps from 60 after the recent patch updates.
to solve the problem I set the minimum and maximum framerates on keyclone to 60, and now its back to 60 fps on each

I can run 5 toons in the old world easily....Outlands is a little spotty. But for Northrend, the max is 4 toons and they stay at a horrid fps. I can run all five to do UK though, I guess Instances are not as graphic intensive vs outside an instance.

An are all you using multiple comps or quad core. I also found out asking around people with one computer are getting this problem too. So i guess its not that bad if i can still manage to play 5 but is it frustrating.

In my opinion you should lower your maxfpsbk to as low as you possibly can. On my computer my alts looses follow with maxfpsbk 4. With maxfpsbk 5 it is no problem but they have issues if I want to type with all of the chars. But a maxfpsbk above 10 is simply useless in my opinion so you could gain quite a lot of performance there.
