Default New to keyclone but not to boxing...

    Hello all,

I just started using Keyclone in december and have been fumbling around with it since. I am not new to boxing in any way as i have been doing it the hard way for as long as i can remember, through the course of several games. 2 keyboads , 2 machines , 2 mice.... etc. At any rate i stumbled upon keyclone and this awesome forum full of multiboxers completely by accident one day and been hooked on doing it this way since.

[s]now the reason i am posting is i am slightly confused on 2 things. First would be the keymaps. What i cant seem to wrap my head around is how the keymaps work. And/or if i can use the keymap to map multiple keys to one hotstring so that on the clone just one button is pressed for each. (actually as i am typing this i think i just figured that part out)[/s]

ok ignore the above i figured that out =)

my other question is about the do not pass functions. I filled it with keys i didnt want to pass and ... no keys worked.... like none at all even ones that i didnt put in there. I eventually ended up checking whitelist and inputting the keys that i wanted to use and now it works but i cannot seem to get it to work the other way around.

at any rate - keyclone rocks my face! glad to finally find a community that shares my enthusiasm for running many toons at once

Howdy spleen and welcome to the forums!

the do-not-pass list is fairly straight forward. hit clear, uncheck white-list/strict ... then click in the input area (<click here and hit a key>... and hit your keys (try WASD for starters). hit ok then resume. WASD should now do nothing. add more keys as you see fit.

of course, as you determined, if you really only want to pass certain keys... then the white-list is the way to go.

if it's not working, please let me know.

also... something you'll like... go to keyclone/setup/override-settings and set the hotkey for 'override do-not-pass' (i normally recommend ctrl + PAUSE (LCTRL+CANCEL) as that makes all your override stuff work around PAUSE).

now when you hit ctrl+pause, your white-list is suspended, or overriden, and all keys will pass. toggle it again to put it back. this is useful for passwords, talking on all at once, or doing a /wave

Actually i went with LCTRL+LALT+; for suspend do not pass and just pause/break for complete override.

its two of the keys on my keyboard that always has dust on em anyway so ... that works for me

as far as do not pass is concerned im not going to mess with it much now as its working on my 2 seperate set of tri-box right now. so ill leave it working lol =)
