    Default [US] Pre-BC Raiding Guild

EDITED POST TO UPDATE IT AND INCLUDE MORE INFORMATION

Hey guys, my friends and my self started up a Pre-BC raiding guild – First let me tell a bit more before you judge us.

    *Short Version Below*

    *Long Version:*

There are times in wow when you really feel like you are getting bored with WoW, but don't want to stop, maybe because of friends? Addictions?
Doesn't matter, we all get that feeling once in a while.
Eventually my friends and my self realized that we could pretty much clear all WOTLK content within 2 days, 3 days maximum so we tried to find other ways to entertain ourselves. We tried pvp, tried dailies, finishing left over quests, farming badges gear, achievements and so on..but we needed something more. So we decided to start doing Pre-BC and BC raids to try collect some of the old tier sets. We cleared every raid possible, collecting sets, having fun, meeting new people and so on. This lasted quite a while and gave us something new to do.
We even started working on legendaries (mostly the ones from BC – my Sulfuras is almost complete)
This gave us an idea. So we all rerolled alts, or joined on current below 60 alts – same server and faction (Stormrage Alliance) - and then leveled them to 60, some are still leveling them.
Our aim was to twink them at level 60 with PvP gear and any Tier loot available.
Our first day of raiding was a terrific success, we first headed to Onyxia and downed her, then continued to full clear Zul'Gurub, Molten Core and Anh'Qui..ah skrew it I wan't spell it – AQ40
Our guild bank got really stocked up on rep items from ZG, MC and AQ40 and Tier 1 BOEs from MC.
Many of us even managed to grab several AQ40 special mounts which were really cool.
We continued to clear within the next two days; Onyxia and Zul'Gurub again (they reset the next day) as well as Blackwing Lair which went really smoothely once again.

    *Short Version*

Group of friends and my self rerolled alts or joined on below 60 alts in order to level them to 60 and become level 60 twinks in both PvP and PvE gear.
Our aim is to experience Pre-BC as realistically as possible again (for some its for the first time) seeing as it was the time where the game was exactly that...a game for enjoyment. It was Blizzards dream. It is so different from BC and WOTLK – unalted by player demands and people who want welfare epics.

    *Guild Information*

    Game Version: United States
    Server: Stormrage
    Faction: Alliance
    Guild Name: <Apathic>
    Guild Website: Coming soon

    *Contact Information*
Wisper/Send mail to: Nhanced, Apathic, Ruinic, Sentric or Caendra ingame
    Email: eric@nhancedgaming.com

    *Guild Specifics*
Raid Attendance: We do not require a specific amount of raid attendance, however after 1 month inactivity your character will be removed from the guild
Raid Days: We aim to raid mostly on Fridays and Saturdays since most guilds do not raid then (mains needing to raid and so on) – ZG and Onyxia will be cleared on weekends and during week because of their 3 and 5 day reset timers
Raid Times: We normally start sending invites out at 2-3 Server time (Its +- Us California time as far as I know) and we normally do 3-4 raids so your welcome to join us when ever you can (raids will normally go on for 2-6 hours, sometimes take breaks in between)
Looting: We do not use any DKP or limitations when receiving loot, however we do expect guild members to be thoughtful of others and think of who is rolling against them, maybe they need it more.
We do normally have a couple of higher levels running with us to assist us with the runs partly because we do not yet have enough members to fill the raid (only 1 week of establishment).
When higher levels do run with us, guild members get priority on loot.
You are not limited to a set amount of items per run so you may receive as many as you win the roll for however we do ask you to be considerate.

*Regards to leveling past level 60*
Many of us purchased an additional account to dual box to level 60 using the Refer/Recruit-a-friend system (triple experience gained) – it only costs about US$ 20 (We only bought a vanilla wow account upgrade for the RAF trial.
By doing so has many benefits such as the mentioned triple experience. Other benefits would be that you cannot level past 60 as well as being able to play your main + one of your new RAF characters to gear it up.
However if you are not able to or don't want to buy another account, don't worry there are alternatives to prevent you from leveling past 60. to start off you can enter level 60 raid dungeons at level 50 so this allows you to attain gear early without being leveled from any level 60 endgame boss kills or quests (attunements and class quests etc).
Being in a raid group means that the experience gained from killing mobs is vastly reduced.
[I was getting between 5 and 27 experience per trash kill and about 100 experience per boss kill at level 54 – We did Onyxia, ZG, MC and AQ40 in one day and only gained 1.5% of a level]
We do wish for everyone who joins our guild to stay with us at level 60 at least for a little while and enjoy doing PvP with us as well as helping out in raids however we do not force you to do anything, I just don't want this guild to be seen as a way to gear up fresh 60s so they can level fast in outlands.

P.S. Yes we know we can only twink in the AV pvp bracket, for the rest of the brackets we are the lowbies - Doesn't matter, we find if they appreciate people in Tier2 they tend to listen better to them + more honor.
It also gives us a chance for a bit more of a challenge and see what teamwork can achieve.

So yeah, come join us! If you haven't had a chance to experience what real Pre-BC was like it features some of the toughest and challenging solo quests where attaining certain items at that level truly was an achievement.

We do offer help in leveling, especially if you choose Recruit a Friend option since you normally gain 1-4 levels per run through instances.
However one thing you must understand is that we offer help, you don't beg for it.
We try to maintain an adult atmosphere in the guild and be very supportive of each other.

    Couple of questions:

What days / times are you running?
Do you have any attendance requirements?
Do you allow 60+ to run (all of my accounts are wrath)

I have tons of characters but I didn't get to see much pre-BC raiding. I have tons of BC raiding experience Kara -> Mother in BT. And Wrath raiding experience. Give me a shout I'd be interested in some more info.

Hey thanks for asking those questions, I guess I should have added them in.

Most of our raids are on Friday/Saturdays. We normally start raids at about 3 US time and then continue for however long we can.
Its possible that ZG and Onyxia will be on the list for during the week since they reset twice a week and are very short. Same with World Outdoor Bosses.

There is no attendance requirement and we do not use DKP or any form of hardcore council. The loot is still master looter most of the time and normally we do not limit you to how many items per run you can recieve.
We do expect members to be thoughtful of others and think of others who are rolling against them, maybe they need it more?

Yes we do allow level 60s + to run with us. Normally I would raid on my level 80 paladin tank and main tank for the guild, then bring my priest with to tag along (on my other account).
Alot of our members have two accounts and sometimes do this. Others might not need anything from the given raid dungeon and then would come help out on their higher levels as well. At times we do have to pug in more for raids such as AQ40 and sometimes BWL because of the difficult nature of the raid.

When we pug higher levels from outside the guild, we tell them straight away that this is indeed a level 60 twink guild and they are encouraged to pass on loot for the benefit of the twinks. If we get to loot where a twink rolls and an external higher level rolls we discuss with them what it is worth to them and try to convince to rather give it to the lower levels. We do try to maintain a fair system given that they are helping us as well, but most are just there for achievements or fun.

If you do have a higher level that you wish to join the guild with and actually be your main raider. You can talk to me in game and we can try to find a solution in terms of how looting will work.
    Hope that answered your questions

I'm on stormrage also, friends with one of your members and he told me what you guys are doing. I'd be interested in getting an alt into the guild, and I'm also a boxer (lost my password on here and the retrieve password feature doesn't work for me for some reason). I'm planning on making another Dk, I have 2 I solo play, 1 horde, 1 alliance as I learn the class. I also have a 53 pally. And I can also help out with clearing trash, as I have multiple higher level Toons on different accounts. If ya see me on (usually on roddo, or roddk) send me a tell, or ask Tartan if he knows how to get ahold of me.

Hi d0z3rr sorry I didn't see your question. I was very distracted this morning with people at my house and just grabbed 5 mins to check the net. I am now free and will be online for the next 10 hours or so.
Currently we have these classes ready to raid all between 54 and 60.
    Hunter: 1
    Priest: 1
    Shaman: 2
    Warlock: 1
    Paladin: 1
    Death Knight: 5
    Rogue: 0
    Warrior: 1
    Druid: 1
    Mage: 0

Need rogues because none at all
Need mages because none at all
Need hunters because the 1 is my alt but normally I will play with my main tank on that account so he wont really be raiding, the other hunter is pretty decked out in gear already
Need priests because currently we only have 1 priest, mine who is fairly geared now too so soon we will need someone to pick up the loot.
Our druid and shamans havn't raided with us yet so we don't know what their raid attendance will be like.

My next team that I am leveling up is a warrior and a druid. I'm going to try make the warrior a tank because it would be nice to give others a feel of what is was like for a level 60 to tank these instead of my level 80, but that might be a bit problematic due to any level 80 mains that join us pulling agro but we will see.

It really is your choice though, we are open to anyone that wishes to come no matter what their class is like.

Just so you guys know, we going to be doing Onyxia and Blackwing Lair this afternoon. Onyxia hopefully within the next hour or two then blackwing lair afterwards. For anyone that has 50-60s that would like to join or even higher levels to come help us out.
We do expect a full clear, so achievement is at hand as well.

I won't be joining you, but I think it's totally awesome. I LOVE the old stuff. In my first guild we did a guild UBRS every day and we all busted our humps so we could get in that raid. Finally we were doing 2 so we could get ready for the new 40 man dungeon (MC). I have, literally, ran UD Strat hundreds of times and I still love it. The original content interests me so much more than BC and beyond. Kudos and good luck.
