Logitech G13 Keypad

^^ Just replaced my N52 with the new G13 last week. 5 boxed and ran solo with it over the weekend.

It's a nice upgrade over the N52.

• More physical keys!
• Faster to switch to other key layouts
• The LCD is ok but I dont look down that often, so its kind of a waste
• Comfortable, the pad is in the right spot for me
• Seems to be constructed well (but its new we will see how it holds up)
• Fast to program (very fast compared to the old N52 software)
• The onboard joystick / hat is very nice to control the followers

It did take some time to get used to my new home position on the pad, I found my hand wandering a bit when trying to hit the bottom row of keys.
All in all a :thumbsup:

Lolz, it's cool but it's costing 89,99 € you pay 79,99 USD loooooooooooooooooolz Our price is about ~140 , I let it ship in from America I guess I'll save some Money ... I hate it compared to all of you we pay ~ 100 USD for an Xbox360 Game , I guess I'll get the region free version and let it ship here 2 ^^ don't have a Problem with english.

good to know you're enjoying it. i was thinking of upgrading my N52 with a N52te... but since this just came out... i might just skip the N52te. i was going for the N52te due to lack of better alternative but now there's an alternative, and it "seems" better. i'll wait a bit to see though. =]

It's a bit bigger then the n52. If I were still running a bunch of these, I'd just stick to n52, but I need 1 or 2 at the most. Waiting on some stuff before I rebuild a computer and move things around, then I'll hook it up and check it out

Got my G13 2 days ago and I love it. In addition to a Xkeys 128 and my MX Revolutions mouse (with lots of thumb buttons) it is superb.

Another superb thing is, that I can reuse the macros of my G15 (classic) and the macro name is displayed in the screen.
The new Logitec software is also cool, Give it a comprehensive macroname and you see a verification in the display that you pressed the right button (e.g. Self AOE, Pet Attack, Call Back Pet ...) instead of checking the screen that the pet does what you thought it would do

I tried to use my N52 for like 2 days then I put it in a corner never looked at it again, because i didn't feel comfortable with it.

Stupid question but can this thing be installed along side your standard keyboard or do you have to physically swap it in and out? If I were to use something like this I'd want to be able to keep my standard keyboard/mouse for the family and only have the G13 out when I'm gaming.

lol yes... you keep your old keyboard. this is in additon to what you already have.

I'm wondering how much more effective this will make me as I'm still operating my right hand on a fairly limited device (the mouse). I'm sure I probably just have to buy one of these things and simply see for myself. Seems all too popular here to have something like this or an XKEYS device.

well for me, i still use the keyboard whenver i need to open bags, sit, hold weapons and chat. im sure there's more things. but thats all i can think of now.
what i do is map out the keys via the attached programs (i have a N52) and map it to my keyboard.

say, my hotkeys are 1234567890-=.
i would set it up on my keypad in a similar fashion. you need to tell it what key you want pressed when you press a certain key. so say, on the g13 keypad, if i want the G5 key to press 5, then i have to program it into their program. if i want the G3 key to press 3, i tell it that. if i want the G10 key to be TAB, i must tell it that. take a closer look at the G13. every key is a "G" key. you just program into the program what key you want it to press when you press a certain key. its the same with the N52 and many others.
