I tried this guy a bit ago, and my problem was always whatever aoe he does that sends my guys flying across the zone. Does absolute max range keep your guys safe from that? I honestly didn't even know what aoe it was, and just gave up after being unable to avoid it or wedge my guys in any corner so that they wouldn't be sent in completely random directions. Would you mind sharing your positioning/strat for this fight?

I'm sure that's because of a bomb debuff he does.. Spread your toons out away from eachother and it should be fine.

Haven't killed him in like 6months or so though so can't really remember!

Not directly related to kazzak, but I wanted to try him and since he was not spawned went and killed doomwalker.

Doomwalker is _really_ easy if you have a pala tank, might be a challenge otherwise. For doomwalker the key to the fight was to get all chars into melee range and simply heal through all the ae that happened once in a while.
If the pally had too many stacks of the armor decreasing buffs (i.e. when you would switch tanks at 70) he would simply bubble to remove it, but for some reason doomwalker did not really apply all too much stacks. And another tip, do not ankh on doomwalker, ever


Also tried magtheridon, but gave up pretty soon. The problem one will run into is that with only one tank one has to tank all channellers in one spot. This results in unkillable mobs because of the massive heals flying around. At the time maggi was released I've not even had one of them down

While it's possible to heal through 5 channelers + 5 eles + maggi it's not really possible to also heal through the blastwave at the same time, at least for me. Does someone have any alternative strats for him?

ok, this is countered very easily. I noticed that at 24% one attempt he did his little bomb and threw me madly across the zone. The 3rd attempt i tried something different. there are two columns, one on either side of him(while still being in range of him and the tank). Position your guys with thier backs up against that column, it has sides so even if it isnt perfect they wont move. Now on my 3rd and final attempt he never blew up, this could be because he was dead much quicker than i had gotten him to 24% the last attempt. I cant locate any articles that explain what it takes to trigger that horrible bomb either, but he didnt use it that fight. I can take screenshots later if you like =) Now if i could just kill skadi on heroic, damn gauntlet!
