Adding a 2nd main - what class?

The way I did my RAF I have 5 accounts feeding the main account. Ill have a lot of levels to grant to that account. As my current main is usually the highest level toon I have, I kinda have to make a 2nd main.

Currently I have Prot Pal and 25 elemental shaman.

Whats a different tank/pulling class instead of Pal (druid, warrior or ummm) that might have buffs to complement the shaman, or be able to do some Herioc instances that the Pal cannot. Or do you think a mage would be best for teleportation abilities (and aoe tagging).

Ill go mining as one profession, is there another profession with a sought after long cooldown ability?

Lots of decisions to make - Mages are a must for multiple groups portage, save some time invite most of them to raid and just cast one port. Paladins are usually good for any tanking situation so you do not "need" to have another tank. Unless of course you want to try a DK out when you hit 55 .

gathering professions can be thought of as a way to feed you money, or a way to feed other classes mats to craft. Skinning is an easy one to lvl, Mining like you said is nice to have since it feeds 3 different professions. Herbalism sells very well right now too.

Just think about what you need to compliment what you already have. I'm sure anything you pick can help out.

I vote druid. Easy to gear, fun to play, dire bears make great tanks. And they can resurrect, battle rez, heal.

Battle rez would be really nice.

Teleportation would also be really nice lol ....

A mage would be you best pick

Less time wastet on travl, and a water vendor you will love it ince you get to 70 and can stat making tabels

Ya I guess as I already have a tank availible a mage is probably the choice ...

If i was you, i'd definately be rolling with a mage. Portal's can make questing incredibly faster when you need to move around to different zones.

Although you may see how good the aoe ability is of a mage and create 25 more of them
