    Default First Set Up?

Hi, I just started Tripple Botting Pretty much it is amazing, but i need a few tips...

    1. How to level?
    - Do i quest? How do i pick up quest items if i do?
    - Is there a guide of how to and where to?
    2. What to make my group?
    - As this is my first time doing this i want it fairly easy but not too easy.
    - I am going to have 3 Accounts one HAS to be a prot or holy paladin!
    3. What Software?
    - SO far i have only tried octopus. It seems easy to work and works well, a bit touchy though.

Thanks a bunch, i am ready to get this show on the road!
This seems to be a helpful community glad i joined it!

Botting and Boxing are two very different things.

Boxing = Manual control you hit key 1, that command is sent to all clients ok.

Botting = Program that automatically runs with out user user intervention, can run on its out with out your control.

People will at times accuse you for “botting”. It’s in your best interest not to use that word, unapproved automated applications is what your implying which would lead to a ban. Don’t take this out of context I’m not attacking you. I’m making you aware as starting out the phrases can be confusing and it’s important you know the difference =)

Where to level Starting out it doesn't matter where. Most recommend instances, you can see a list of PVE progression to see what level other Boxers are grinding them.

Group its up to you. Note melee classes are very hard to box in WOW. Caster classes are great to start out with as you only need to worry about line of sight. A pally as your main is a good choice. In fact I think there is a boxer doing 1 pally 2 mages, check the Movie section you might find it on there. As a little preview on how it works out.

Software packages I haven't fooled around with much but from consumer reviews Point to Keyclone. With the simplicity, roll out and support Keyclone looks to be your best bet! More may have different suggestions.

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.

Thanks alot Bradster, What i ment wasnt Botting, but am only using One Computer. So is that still 3-Boxing?, 3-Botting? Or What?
Im buying my KeyClone now through PP, looks like its worth it, even though looks like Octopus Is working fine.

I have decided on Prot Paladin, Dual Warlocks, How does that sound? I should be able to solo most instances, and at the same time shouldnt be too slow...

I don't think the people here would like to be called botters. As I understand it "botting" is when you automate a character with a script via a 3rd party tool. The script controls the characters.

"Boxing" is multiple characters being controlled by a single person.

You have to loot quest items independantly with each character, cannot be done via macro as far as I am aware.

Some people prefer questing some prefer grinding. I think it depends on your group makeup, your playstyle and your attention span. Grinding will probably drive you to burnout quicker while questing is a bit more diverse.

I would recommend a combination of both.

    They guys are right..

and even in reply you said triple botting....?

Nobody on this site is a "botter".

We are multi-boxers.. So instead of using the word botting replace it with boxing.

As Dual-boxing.com's resident pedant I feel I should step in here.

Technically if you are playing multiple characters on a single computer you are a Multi-logger. Multiple characters on 2 or more computers is Multi-boxing.

Thank you for your time ;-)

You COULD claim that you are referring to the five wow boxes you have bought and are using :-)

I by the way like the term multi-instancing, but to keep it simple, i think
it's best to just call it all multi-boxing.

Pretty much from 0-20 you'll be questing. From 20+ I think you could pretty much instance your way to 60 if you had 4-5 chars. Not sure though, but since you're running only 3 chars, you're gonna be questing from 0-70

To pick up quest items you could probably make a macro, but I simply just switch to the other character and loot the quest item. Pretty simple.

There is a leveling guide for both alli and horde. Brians alliance leveling guide, and joanna's horde leveling guide. The thing is they are written for only one character, you will have 3 so it won't work as well.

I'd make it whatever you want! 1 pally 1 lock and 1 mage would be cool because the mage can teleport, and has the all important AI buff for your pally and lock, not to mention the mage can summon food! But two locks is cool as well. Totally up to you, but definitely avoid melee classes.

I can only recommend keyclone since that is all I have used, but it is excellent and definitely worth the $10. Not to mention really easy to setup.
