i watch the processes on my pc from time to time but the best advise to shut down the ones you dont need is just to watch it, start closing things and if it does something to your pc just reboot and leave that one up, i can tell you that every pc has different ones going and do not end the explorer process lol.
other than that just start closing them one by one
