    Default Decursing & tanking ???

    Hi,

Got a group of my old chars I want to level.

    Death Knight (new)
    Priest
    Lock
    Mage
    Hunter

Looks like a nice group. Hunter and lock are Beastmastery and Demonology and the pets can do some tanking.
I use the DK as a Main tank.

Mage is fire and priest is disc/holy.

How do you guys control the tank and do decursing with the priest and other classes if not in main window ?

(group is mentioned in my wiki profile)

    Cheers

What I do, take with a grain of salt, is I have my priest set to dispel with a modifier of his spam macro. For example:

    I may have

    /cast [nomod] Flash Heal
    /cast [mod:shift] Renew
    /cast [mod:ctrl] Greater Heal
/cast [mod:alt] Dispel (prolly the wrong spell name, I'm not at my toons currently)

A mage would be a bit trickier for decursing, but a druid would be easy, if he was setup to heal. The problem with the mage is he generally wouldn't need to target your tank. You could just make a separate key set for cleansing, decursing, purging etc. and bind it to the same thing for all. Remember that your felhunter can devour magic and, unless your priest is discipline specced, you might want to setup a macro for him to remove magic for when he is out.

A shaman can drop a poison totem for the few areas where there are poison (really just gundrak and parts of draktharon), I don't think I've had to ever remove curse yet even though I have a mage and resto shaman. Its really just not a big deal imo, only in things like Naxx and other raid instances do curses and diseases and poisons matter a lot. Oh my tank is a pally so I can cleanse any poisons/magic off myself as necessary.

thanks for the inspiration. mapping the F1-F5 Keys is indeed a good plan.

I removed the mapping for the F keys on all and mapped them to macros (with bindpad )
I created macros for my healer which I map to the F keys:

    Code:
    /target <name of player>\n
/cast [mod:ctrl, help, nodead] Greater Heal; [mod:alt, help, nodead] Flash Heal; [dead] Resurrection
macros on Shift+f2 heals the pet of the member.

I target all by full name so they don't have to be in a party (considdering the lvl difference between my DK 59 and my priest 70)

and I have keys on my xkeys defined which do decurse/dispell

so it is a 2 key purge or key+mop healing

    cheers

I have a paladin tank and i just use the clique mod and bind middle mouse to cleanse.
also i have a button bound on 2 of the shamans to do

    /targetparty 1
    /castrandom cure poison, cure disease

    and on the others its
    /targetparty
    /castrandom cure poison, cure disease

i also use the same macro on my resto shaman except i replace the cure poison/disease with cleanse spirit.

The targetparty only cycles through all party members but yourself. and the 1 makes it cycle in reverse. This works for me as all my characters can do some form of curing.

pact: thanks for the idea. sounds good.

    note on my post above,
F key + mod ALT is deadly especially Alt+F4 *DUH*. At first I wondered why in de the middle of an instance my main logged out After I realized I had a laugh and remapped the keys
