I'm almost there. It turns out that if the mobs are not gray to you (you're not 9 levels higher?) then you get 25 per kill. If you're level 80 like me, then you only get 5 per kill. So, if you're not 80 yet and want the title, then do it while they're green and it will only take 1-2 hours. Otherwise it will take 5-10 hours.
Meh. That's annoying. I can understand how experience would be reduced or go away because of outleveling mobs, but reputation? Oh, we won't hate you as much because you're higher level and so maybe you just are killing our guards by accident.
