There are actually two really good guns which should last you a really long time.

I used that on my hunter team until 75 and then got

from Violet Hold and still using that now (Lvl78 ).

I am running a three hunter team as well and they're def. a blast and the damage they put out is fantastic.
The raging dragon gun was the first thing I got once I got to Northrend. Actually I ran directly there to do the quest, haha. It's a great gun, but I doubt I'll be getting the VH gun, probably I'll just wait until the Scholazar Basin gun is available (I think the quest is min. 77). The problem is that I'm waiting for account management to sort some stuff out. One of my hunters is on the same account as my main, so I can't 5-box before they get some stuff sorted and I get my character moved to another account. So no instances for now

Anything you are taking from your previous leveling and applying now? I think I would have started Sons of Hodir way, way earlier, plus focused heavily on doign Icecrown and unlocked Ebon (and Argent) instead of trying to finish off Dragonblight/Zuldrak/etc.

Crazy thing is I still have 50%+ quests unfinished on my main team, just have enough time a day to get in a heroic and knock off a few dailies. So much potential gold in those unfinished quests!

Would love to hear how instances go with 3 hunters, its one of the combos I was seriously thinking of for wotlk - great for PVE, and 3 hunters in a 3s team may be very interesting.
Yeah, I thought the same thing. Sons of Hodir I'll be doing right away, same with Argent Crusade and Knights of the Ebon Blade. Hopefully it'll be less painful with just 3 chars :P
