9800 GX2 1024 vs GTX260 896 (BE)

Hey guys.

Usually I don't really do those things and google this stuff and search but I just want some advice from you guys, as you have more XP in this things with Multiboxing.
So the Winter time is going to be over (for me) cause of the birthdays of all of my family are going to be over. (I hate it so much it's always the same and christmas comes too -.- omf...) so I'm going to make me a present *lol*.

And I know over the Ocean it's Prime time here is it 3:40 AM ^^
so about 250€ is what I want to spent and these are @ this amount. So...


XFX GeForce GTX 260 666M Black Edition 896MB PCIe 2xDVI/TV - Retail
Core / Mem : 666/1150
896 MB (448-bit)

Sparkle GeForce 9800 GX2 1024MB PCIe 2xDVI/HDMI - Retail
Core / Mem : 600 / 1000
1024 MB (256-bit)

I haven't done good experience with ATI but I'm looking forward to you're advice and maybe I get convinced (hope that isn't the wrong word, if it is wrong this could be funny for you embarassing for me ^^)

one other Question:

On the 9800 GX2 are there 2 Full Video Cards on it or just 2 Cores and 1 Memory , for some reason I can't find the answer, because it would make it 2048 Ram. If it is 2x 1024 why it does not stand there?I Guess I'm just thinking too complicated ... again

I'm going to 5 Box

is the GX2 better or is the GTX260 outrunning the 9800 because of the 448bit interface. As I know the 8800 GTX was so good because of heir 512bit interface, that's actually the only reason keeping me away from the 9800 and there is something like "Drivers for Vista Included" but there's no XP, so should I get Vista for that? and I should get 64- bit OSD for that?

So would you recommend me XP 64 or Vista 64? Home or Premium I guess last?

First off the 9800 Gx2 are two full cards but the 9800 gtxs are 512mb so its 512*2 it equals 1024

Second i recommend the GTx260 Because of the 448-bit and higher memory speeds

Third definitely get vista 64 bit 8 gigs of ram is almost need for 5x smoothly home no reason for prem. just overpriced if you really want all that junk warez

Like I thought, but I was so focused on the GX2 and the 1GB/2GB thing.

Yeah, have looked 4 vista on Wikipedia, I don't need all that stuff. Was just a question that went through my mind, while writing.
