*REVISED* $2,800 Budgit. specs sound decent/compatable? (EDIT)-might go hardware instead, are these specs compatable/decent? *REVISED*

that... but tweak to your budget! lol

some important things to look for:
    8gigs ram, 1000mhz or faster.
    intel quad core.
2 videocards, with SLI/crossfire, though you dont need to have it set up this way for boxing. any of the latest ones would be fine.
a mobo that can fit all that.
good power supply. 600 watts plus. more is better.
good airflow through case. watercooled case will kill your budget.

reply for further details. there's plenty people here who know their hardware and can go into further details. =]

i kind of just threw this together , i don't know much about AMD processors but it all seems compatible. if you are looking to spend another ~$230ish you could add another 4870 1G card and have a fairly decent gaming computer for games other then WoW (if you enable XFire on the 2 cards). if you want i can put together basically the same thing but with and intel processer/MoBo for around ~$1,100 or so. if so just ask. ^_^

i'm playing around on Cyberpowerpc.com , its a verey good site if you want to check it out, you can customize your pc just about however you want. could be something good for you to look at.

    hope this helps some. ^_^

I have a Q6600 and its laggy as hell in high pop areas. It will work but if you want smooth performance you need more. If you have a pc now I would run 2 accounts from it and 3 on the new pc. I dont know what you have now but I think running 2 accounts should be ok.

just a quick question, do you mean you have three 24" monitors? because if so, you will need 2 graphics cards to run all of them. if you only have one 24" i would suggest getting a 17" or 19" and run your main off that and split the 4 slaves on the 24".

First of all; $1000 =/= awesome pc. You can put together something decent, but don't expect 60fps in Dalaran.

The Q6600 is still the best budget processor available. Easily overclocked to 3.0 or 3.2 ghz, you will get the more per dollar than anything else out there. The downside is the future. The i7's are taking over and bring a new socket design with them.

Assuming you have a monitor, but need a mouse/keyboard:
    <<Broken Link /sigh>>
If you don't need the mouse or keyboard, take that $50 and get a CNPS9700LED so you can confidently overclock that processor to 3.0+
